Good place for group gatherings OK Nov 30, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Pasta | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

Group therapy is located at the second floor which is easily missed if you were looking for the shop front. The ambience is quite homely and there were a group chilling out. Its a place where you can sit for hours and do your stuff - the staff didnt chase us out when we sat there for hours after dinner.

Had truffled ravioli $18 - Round pasta cases stuffed with wild porcini mushrooms and truffles, with tomato basil sauce - dont like it... it tasted artificial.

Their Mint Hot Chocolate $8 was surprisingly good. The peppermint doesnt taste like syrup.

Recommended Dish(es):  Mint hot chocolate

Spending per head: Approximately $32(Dinner)

Will travel for earl grey cakes OK Nov 30, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery | Café

Heard many raves about the earl grey tea cake at this cafe, travelled all the way under the hot sun looking for this cafe.

The cafe is small, the staff are very friendly, didnt really notice the existence of other cakes except the earl grey. It was a rather small slice, and it was served with whip cream at the side (i think), the whip cream is too sweet and it 'overpowered' the earl grey taste, was quite disappointed till a friend suggested that i should request to warn the cake instead.

Will definitely give a second chance to go back again!

Chrysanthemum sorbet! Smile Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Was craving for ice cream and went to Upper Thomson to look for one. Udders is crowded as usual and happened to see Neli's Ice Cream. It is a travel themed ice cream cafe and it is quite cute, as Singapore doesnt have much themed cafes.

Was happy that they have earl grey and happier when I saw chrysanthemum sorbet as not many ice cream places do this.

It was not a weird combi, it tasted good even though there is chocolate sauce drizzled on it.

Best part of this cafe is there is a very clean toilet!!

A bowl of goodness Smile Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Teochew | Hawker Centre | Noodles

It was the after lunch hour and also an half day for the office people before the public holiday. I was craving for beef noodles but many hawkers were seen packing up while some are already closed for business.

Then i chanced upon this stall where there isnt a queue at all and the uncle is still cooking. Ordered a bowl of goodness and it was only $3!! The soup was heavenly too. The meatballs are handmade.

The auntie is very friendly and asked to take a seat first and have a drink first as the cooking will take awhile. Would love to have this anytime of the day again!

My kind of fast food!  Smile Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Korean | Hawker Centre

The queue is never ending no matter what time of the day it is... But i will still queue up for it since the queue move fast and the food is cheap and good.

The stall owner is very generous with the ingredients. And they also offer the slim kuay teow which most of the stalls dont sell that. It is a must eat for me whenever i am near Amoy food centre.

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Dinner)
