Disappointing Cry Jan 24, 2013
Categories : Korean | BBQ

Lunch is usually crowded over here as their price is pretty affordable. The seafood pancake and ginseng chicken soup are seen mostly on the tables. Decided to order both to try.

Too much msg is added into the soup as i was very thirsty after lunch, the chicken is huge but am not a fan of chicken so didnt try it. As for the seafood pancake, it was not good as well. The crabstick was used as the main ingredient and there is no sign of other seafood such as prawns where most Korean restaurants made that with the pancakes.

Disappointing as it is not authentic Korean food. And the seats are very cramp, not suitable for tall people or even group gatherings who plan to sit there for a long time.

Not a good choice for dinner Cry Jan 14, 2013

Heard alot of ravings for their breakfast sets, but perharps only their breakfast is good. Went during dinner time. Was very disappointed.

Luckily, their berry smoothie is a safe choice, berry intensive.

Their cabonara is too creamy, and their beef cheeks is dry like sand. Its bad.

My friend had their duck leg - the hawker have much better ones.

Lastly, i thought this was a creative presentation of their complimentary starters.

It was a very expensive dinner. There were 2 other couples in the restaurant too, but they were seen sharing food. Its more suitable for couples for a romantic dinner due to the dim lights instead of a group gathering. But due to the overwhelming raves of their breakfast, i would probably drop by again.

Very bad service Cry Jan 14, 2013

Categories : American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Burgers and Sandwiches

It was packed to the brim on a Saturday night at Robertson Quay, and i was hungry. The friends and i found our way to Hummerstons in the end where there are a few empty tables. Heard the food is not bad but the waiter for rushing me to order dinner - we weren't pleased when they did not bother telling us that the kitchen is closing huffy

I had truffled mushroom soup which they are generous with the mushrooms. The truffle taste is not overpowering. However, the croutons are not good.

The roasted pumpkin cake was a tad dry for me but my friends enjoyed it.

Good ice cream but... OK Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Italian | Ice Cream and Gelato

Was visiting a customer then i realised this shop was just along the way. Bought a scoop of chocolate ice cream. It was quality ice cream but was disappointed with their service.

The chocolate ice cream wasnt my first choice as i am not a fan of it. But after asking for 4 flavors which they displayed at the counter, and the service crew responded with a 'dont have already', i was half discouraged to eat it. But the highly raved ice cream and other branches were almost as inaccessible as this branch made me ignore the bad service and ordered the chocolate cone instead.

It was good but i probably will not visit the shop again.

The earl grey fan OK Dec 10, 2013

Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

I am a big fan of earl grey and went all the way to try when a friend ring me and told me about it.

The interior is quite spacious and cool. it was quite packed on a morning, i supposed people eat there after exercising at botanical gardens?

Tried the earl grey dessert but it wasn't good enough... quite disappointing. The flavor is not there.

The earl grey tea tasted like any tea that can be easily found outside.

Most tables are eating the breakfast but we had somewhere else in the planning, perhaps will drop by again.
