Was on my way to the Siglap Centre during the weekends and saw this shop bursting with people in the bus. Was curious and i got down the bus at Roxy Square bus stop on my way back.

It was a small space in the restaurant and outside definitely has more space. There is also a menu stand outside the restaurant for passerby. It is definitely more comfortable to sit outside, although its a little hot on a afternoon.

I noticed they serve ice cream as well but i didnt really have a chance to look at it. Was in a rush so i asked my food to be taken away instead. Bought the tom yum soup and the mango sticky rice.

I messed up the presentation of the mango sticky rice, otherwise the taste is decent.

The tom yum soup is fragrant even though when the lid is closed and people were staring at my food along the train ride. There are many pieces of ingredients, as some places they only give a few pieces of meat and a whole chunk of spices. But this soup is not bad, its not spicy but it numb my lips after awhile.

Will definitely go back again to try other food. And the place is accessible by taking bus 10 or bus 14 opposite the Nicoll Highway Station.

Fish & Chips

Fish & Chips

I like this cafe alot as it is very cosy and have been returning to the place as it also provides crafting materials.

Love the Thai food in this cafe as its decent and most importantly, it is not oily. Other friends were telling me that the Western food is not as good as the Thai selections except for the Mac & Cheese. Did not heed their advice and ordered the Fish and Chips anyway.

The fries are okay according to one of the friends who ate so many different kind of fries whenever she travels, and she's a fries expert, commented that their fries are good. The fish is a little thin and there is no lingering taste in the mouth. Will not order again although it is not that bad. I shall try their Thai food next time!

It was an early impromtu dinner and I was very hungry decided to order the set meal which is about $38++. Interesting dip for the piping hot bread! Yums!

The mushroom soup was GOOD! It is not diluted & full of flavor!

We love the mash too! It is full of garlic & herb flavor. But it will be better if its creamier.

Friend's Bolognaise Pasta: her verdict is it's better than Cacio e Pepe's. She didn't say much but perhaps this place has better bolognaise pasta. I hardly eat bolognaise pasta out there. I tried a mouthful and it turns out okay.

My Australian 150 day's Grain Fed Rib Eye 280gms (Medium Rare) It is very good, tender & juicy. Comparable to Morton's but at fraction of the price.

Another friend's Petit Tender (Meat fr shoulder joint, Medium Done) It is decent. We asked the sauce to b served separately.

The sauces for the meat. Left is Carl's Steak Sauce. Not very nice. It's more salsa. Good pairing if its with chips but its a no-no for steak. And on the right - Mushroom sauce - Oldie but so good!

Lastly, the blueberry Cheese Cake - Its not very rich but I like the sauce n berries. The presentation of the cake is pretty too.

I am happy with his steak. One of the best for $38++. But we probably will not visit again in the near future. Although overall, it is quite a decent portion for the price, but perhaps be prepared to fork out about $50 per pax. Service was not fantastic. They could be more attentive in view as we were there early and place was just half filled. Not very cheery faces unless we say thank you first.

YUMMY! OK Jul 10, 2013

It was lunch so my extremely nice and awesome colleagues and I went to Jamboree Bar for our lunch since it was within walking distance from our office and located in Orchard district. I ordered the club sandwich lunch combo set which comes with a soup and drink. The soup is mushroom soup but... I was expecting it to be a thick with mushroom bits soup. But it taste extremely good though! Yummy yummy!

The club sandwich is very different and unique from what other place is selling. Instead of bacon, they replaced it with picnic ham, which is oh my, my favorite! There's also sunny side up which is very well done to my likeness and a few veggies in it (Not a fan of vegs so it's ok!). The sandwich bread can be a bit better if it's softer and spread with margarine/butter but never mind about cos it still taste very very very nice!

Overall my meal cost $14 NETT! No GST or whatsoever hidden charge marks one of the best part of this cafe!

Oyster mee sua without oyster with lots of chilli is what i usually order.

The queue is scary at this outlet where some outlets are just empty. Despite the queue, people are still willing to wait, and that includes me, as there isnt much food at amk to eat.

And the mee sua here is decent. The service is decent as well. Haven tried the fried chicken before as i am not really a fan plus the longer waiting time!!
