It was packed on a Saturday night from 8pm till closing. Luckily we had seats.

Rich chocolate cake, strawberry cheesecake, Hazelnut Praline Royale Chocolate cake, Baked Chocolate Tart (no picture), Blackforest cupcake and the mango-looking cake.

The blackforest cupcake was not popular, it was quite dry, the chocolate tart which was made of 55% varlhona was snatched in minutes (best that i've ever eaten), hazelnut praline royal cake is okay and my friend loves his rich chocolate cake, but its way too rich for me.Calypso Coffee (not pictured), Bailey's Coffee (not pictured) & Creme Brulee Coffee.
Calypso coffee tasted weird, the alcohol and the coffee didnt go well together, bailey's coffee & creme brulee tasted more normal.

The place was almost in the middle of nowhere - i am not an easterner as you can tell. My friend had a little trouble of finding carpark lots.

The place was crowded even though it was past 8pm, most people were seen drinking tea instead of coffee, where a drip tea infuser was used.

Grasshopper mint was not as good as S'mores pie. I am quite a heavy peppermint freak, cant taste much of peppermint. Overall, it was ok.This is interesting! At first, we thought they served us the wrong order - its not milk but iced chocolate. Dont really like the coffee here, but overall, drinkable. Not a fan.This is the best! We almost licked the plate clean!Oh, and the air-con is very strong in this cafe. Good for people who cannot stand the heat

Re-visited the restaurant a few times because of their 1-for-1 pasta promotion last year (2012). Was disappointed that their serving and food is inconsistent.

Spicy crabmeat Linguine - ate the same dish out of 5 times, portion was very small on the first time, but apparently, my friend had a much bigger portion - the chef is dreaming? Other times were okay, i like it that despite their portions varies from time to time, they are generous with the crabmeat.Marmalade bread & pudding - hardly eat this but it taste weird.Oreo milkshake - there is more milk than oreos. Dont like. Watermelon & lychee blast - Safest choice ever! If you like lychee that is.

Many friends rave about how good the food is, despite the long queue during dinner.

Had the famous duck confit. It was not good, or rather inconsistent? It was quite hard, did they re-cook it? But i love the mash potato - smooth texture.Saute potato was good - can eat a dozen bowls of that!Saveur pasta was okay, it was served warm. Would prefer to be cold actually (i have very different takes on food) Though i have friends who prefer it to be served piping hot.Lastly, the dessert - cookies & milk - not at all impressed though many are hyped about this interesting dessert with the foam / air on top. Plus its similar to cookies and cream at Esquina. It seems like a half-done attempt on molecular gastronomy, thought they can do better with the ice cream beneath with the nuts and the popping candy. Affordable food but with the queue and the inconsistency, i cant expect much, can i?

Friends and i were looking for desserts after dinner at food republic. And my friends were attracted by the bright blue signboard.

We had the signature royal pudding, monkey bread and some random cakes - there wasnt alot of choices left for that day. Though the taste of the cake is so-so, the decor is quite unqiue - there is a spoon sticking on the cake, which it seems that we are paying for the decor than the taste.

The royal pudding is too watery - we had better elsewhere. The monkey bread is walnuts intensified - probably more suitable for fans of walnuts. It has this sticky texture - not sure if its brown sugar - it is too sweet for our liking.
