I guessed one of the most gratifying things of being successful foodie was when I discovered something tasty at the same time supported by somebody else, I referred to Nasi Briyani sold here. Occupied rather huge space, the food displayed on the glass cabinet looked freshly appetizing. Lining up was always there, because of the friendly service, reasonable price as well as delicious Indian food. Menu was extensive, Nasi Padang itself was compatible with various dishes.

The beauty of Basmati Rice was that, the texture was not as starch-laden as normal rice, chewy and not heavily laid on tummy. Quaint little shinny rice was paired with huge scrumptious drumstick, arrival of sambal chilli and crispy cracker were absolutely fascinating. Aromatic combination was a perfect lovely mix, well blended with tasty spices and subtly sweetened raisins. Chicken was fairly fork-tender without overly sickening, nicely marinated and good nourished. Portion was intensely generous, it did fill me up. The price for the whole set was $4.50, affordable welcoming. You will never regret to come here and try it out, trust me.

Followed my friends to Perfecto Kitchen, I heard of its name countless time and finally I was here. Simply modern restaurant stood in the town, atmosphere was soothing comfort. Menu was thoughtfully included brief introduction, ease for us to make decision. Business was rather good, shop was filled to the brim.

This creamy pasta was one of my desired dishes, I love White Sauce compare to Tomato Sauce seriously. Overall was sinfully coated by rich-flavoured gravy, noodles remained springy. It tasted wonderful, especially with extra Cheese Topping. As always, pasta lightened up my expectation and satisfied me with generous portion. Price was $15.90, reasonable for me. Anyway, it was a place I would recommend for dining out, fast and efficient service with food quality was never a letdown.

Taking my lunch somewhere near Chinatown area, I opted for something densely dish. Occupied small space, Yun Rong stall was neatly clean in appearance. Short queue laid in front of me, luckily the waiting time was not that lengthy. Menu was flexible, anything can be done or changed based on customers’ requirements. Decided my choice as Bak Chor Mee, it was an often hailed cuisine at general hawker stalls.

Thick Meehoon was tossed and seasoned well with generous flavourful minced pork, delicious braised absolutely. Reached a desired texture whereby meehoon was springy, every single bite was luscious starchy. Taste of vinegar was light, nicely matched with noodles without overly simmered. Sauce given was not excessively sickening, the bland was just nice with decent portion. Complimentary soup of day was served along, nothing beat. Price was $3.00 only, it was affordable and valuable for me.

Passing by Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen, I and my friend had same sentiment to have Japanese food. Originated from Osaka, this place was actually famous about “Volcanic” Ramen. Wide-ranged menu was given to us from friendly staff, really spoilt for choices. Décor was simple trendy, atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Service was prompt, we didn’t have to wait long to get our orders.

Fragrant soup served, it was creamy thick and rich in savour. Pork slices were falling off the bone, unbelievably tender and well-marinated. Appetizing by looking and smell, the saltiness was all right without overpowering. Noodles were springy and tasted great, portion was relatively generous. Beansprouts, Black Fungus, Spring Onions were added, the bowl was deliciously lip-smacking yet not exaggerated. Talking about the price, I would say Ramen sold here was quite valuable.

No need to be surprised, Indian food is widely acceptable in Singapore. Craving of curry hit me, I was then having my lunch with friends at Mamak stall. Luckily there was no queue or huge orders in front of us, waiting time was short. Friendly boss and welcoming service, menu on top of board was extensive.

A layer of the dough batter was scraped off while on the pan resulting in a thin crusty pancake, the name we called Thosai. Obviously bigger size than Prata, texture was fluffy yet filled me up. Gravy given included Beans Curry, Coconut Chutney and Sambal, the purpose was to drizzle and eat along with Thosai. Little more mashed mushy, there was chunks of potatoes, carrots and assorted veggies inside starchy broth. Definitely provided extra kick and perfectly delicious, but I must admit it was sinful unhealthy. The set was scrumptious without too dry or too overly oily, everything was well-dedicated. Price was affordable, reasonably at $3.20.
