Introduction
3 words to describe our noodles: SIMPLE TASTY DISH We love to serve our wanton noodles in the way our grandparents served. A simple dish that fills every stomach for generations. Keeping the noodles in the same texture and chewyness as the olden days. Taste as traditional as how our grandparents had done it.

My friend introduced me to this Wanton Mee stall at Hong Lim Hawker Centre. This stall was located behind and away from the front view of the hawker centre, hence I had a hard time finding this stall. There was no much queue after Lunch hours. I ordered the normal Wanton Mee Kia at $3. They served the Wanton Mee in a cute oval shape bowl. The Wanton Mee Kia had a heavy aroma of pork lard and savoury special sauce. The special sauce tasted like char siew sauce with hoi sin sauce. Their mee kia was unique, different from others, a bit thicker and springy like kolo mee. The Char Siew was very good, roasted on the outside with very sweet malty taste. The Char Siew meat was tender and fatty. The wanton in the soup however was small and less meaty. The minced meat marinated was good in the wanton, I could taste the crushed dried fish in the wanton meat.Read More

It was by chance that I tried this wanton mee and it was only after that that I realised it is a famous stall. As I was there at around 4plus in the afternoon, there wasnt any queue. (Went on subsequent occasions during weekends lunch hour and the queue is really long). Saw people eating the wanton mee and it looked really appetizing which attracted me to try it. There are lots of ingredients other than wanton including char siew and mushroom, the char siew is nice and juicy with a bit of fats which made it all the more tasty. The black sauce is really good and fragrant! I specially like the noodles they use, slightly thicker and different texture from the usual wanton noodles. Every good little things, from the ingredients to the seasoning/sauce to the noodles, add up to a delicious bowl of wanton noodles.Read More

I happened to be there at about 5 pm and about half of the stalls in this food centre have already closed so i was left with very limited choices. The wanton mee from this famous stall was a choice out of convenience. I was given the option from $3 to $8 for selection. I wanted the $3 portion to take away. I did not expect it to be served in a plastic container without an extra charge. A good portion of mee kia was served with 3 pieces of wantons together with few slices of sliced mushroom and char siew. The mee kia was slightly thicker than others. It was cooked well to give it a delightful chewiness at just the right softness. It tasted really good after tossed well with the sauce underneath. I requested to have an extra amount of chilli added and it tasted really nice. I particularly enjoyed the wantons. It was rather plump with well-seasoned minced meat as its filling. This is definitely one of the better wanton mee around. Read More

i am addicted to this stall, love their special mushroom sauce and full of ingredients prawn dumplings noodles, prawn dumplings is big and full of ingredients with 3 or 4 at least, high quality mushrooms are used too, with reasonable portion of char siew, vegetables, love their noodles too, taste like malaysian noodles which is a bit different from local wanton mee, for $3, with so big portion and so nice noodles, actually no chilli is needed to add into this bowl of noodles, it is so nice i keep wanting to go back, but prefer off-peak period as the sauce is much tastier during off-peak period with generous and correct portions. thumbs up. one of my favourite wanton mee in a hawker centre, cheap, good and tasty.
