I went to Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks at around 9 plus to get myself a bowl of their oyster mee sua. i was so lucky, the auntie told be she only have one bowl left, but after checking the pot, she said the mee sua is only enough to fill about three quarter so she offered to give me more ingredients to make up the difference. as i am not really a big eater, i thought it was fine. she practically emptied the entire container of shredded chicken in, gave me five oysters instead of three. i was pretty much filled up by the shredded chicken. i felt the gravy of the mee sua was really good, i asked for extra chilli and vinegar, i think it gave the mee sua more flavour.Read More

There was still some time to dinner time so I got myself a pack of Shihlin XXL chicken to snack on. I like the batter they use to coat the chicken, very crispy. However it gets separated very easily from the meat. I think the auntie was a little too generous with the chilli powder. Each piece is practically coated with chilli powder, making the chicken a little spicy. But as a whole the meat was very tender and juicy.Read More

I especially like to order my XXL chicken from this branch as the auntie manning the stall is so friendly and the size of the chicken is really huge. They add even seasoning to the chicken until it taste really good. the meat is very tender and juicy, not too oily at all. I like the crispy skin, goes well with the chilli powder. The chilli powder adds some hotness to the chicken so it does not taste too bland. Read More

Shihlin Taiwan's Mee Sua is DELICIOUS!!The thick flavourful gravy together with the slurpy mian xian taste yummy! The oysters given is also fresh and juicy. Though it may be a big portion, you can definitely eat at least 3/4 of the bowl in no time!! (that's what happened to me) haha~Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks also sell the Big, Fried Chicken Cutlet that taste somewhat like the actual ones in Taiwan, and other snacks like the cheese crepes and sweet potato fries!! However, my favourite snack would still be the Oyster Mee SuaYou should definitely try out this bowl of noodles if you haven't! Price would be $3.50 for one bowl.Read More

I really like Taiwanese cuisine, so from time to time I will head over to shihlin to grab some of their Taiwanese food. this time round I bought their egg crepe, they have a number of flavours but I opted for their mushroom and cheese one. I like the amount of cheese they add to the egg crepe, make it very cheesy at every bite. The mushroom is very juicy, makes the egg crepe dun taste so dry.Read More

Smooth and nice mee sua is always the signature dish at all outlets for Shihlin. This is no surprise to anyone that here has one of the most sellable and best flavour of mee sua. The gravy is thick, spicy and filled with the nice fragrant from the dark soy sauce used in it. The mee sua is easy to eat and swallow. The portion may not be that generous, but the quality of it is always there.Read More

Brought a bowl of the oyster mee sua for lunch. This bowl of oyster mee sua contain ingredients such as the oyster, shredded chicken, mee sua and chopped coriander. The gravy of the mee sua is thick and the mee sua is well cooked and has a soft texture. The gravy of the mee sua is well seasoned, not too salty, mild spicy and pepper taste with added vinegar and chili paste. The oyster given is fresh, big and juicy. However, the shredded chicken is too finely chopped and would recommend them to slice it instead to provide a better texture. The presentation of the mee sua is also quite presentable and appealing. I was looking for a quick snack to have while on the go and Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks just came across to me as a delicious and satisfying (meaty) snack i could have! And one could never go wrong with the street snacks from Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks !As usual, i ordered the crispy fried chicken and asked them to hold their horses on the amount of chilli powder they usually add. I love the crispy texture of the batter that coats the chicken, and together with the hot, steaming chicken within, it all made this snack very satisfying. The dash of pepper on the top also gives this snack a great kick!Yummy!Read More

My stomach was feeling kind of upset so my mother da bao back shihlin mee sua for me. She asked the staff not to add any oysters in my mee sua as she was afraid it would make me feel worst. I was surprised to see that they replaced the oysters with so much shredded chicken. It was like one pile. I think next time I will order it without oyster. The mee sua is really delicious, very smooth, very easy to eat and digest. The soup is very thick and tasty. I felt so much better eating that.Read More

This stall provides a variety of Taiwan snacks. One of them include the Sweet Plum Potato Fries. A good thing about this stall is that the staff will prepare the snacks on the spot only when people order. The waiting time is also acceptable around 3-5 minutes.Firstly, the thickness of every piece of sweet potato was equal, acceptable size, not too thick nor thin. Secondly, the crispy level was average. Lastly, the seasoning was sufficient, spread evenly on every piece of the sweet potato. Read More
