I love pancakes especially those filled with peanut, coconut or durian! Or azuki red beans! Besides the filled pancakes, I also love having crispy pancakes! Jollibean sells crispy pancakes and I found a similar one just a stones throw away from my house! This pancake stall at the round market started selling the crispy versions awhile ago and I love it! It is crispy throughout with peanut bits inside!

Ban Jiang Kueh (Peanut Pancake)A favourite among Singaporeans for breakfast or snacks.There are different variations of preparing the pancake and each type has its own unique taste and texture. The original peanut pancake with grounded peanut fillings into creamy paste are sweeter and thicker using a large flat iron skillet to cook and are sliced into portions.I bought a packet (3 pieces) of crispy pancake for $2.00 for my afternoon snack. I like to crispiness of the pancake but if there were more peanut in each filling, it would even be better.This stall has different types of pancake to cater for individual taste, there are the traditional thicker slices, individual small pancakes with similar fillings packed separately and the crispy pancake with peanut filling.The peanut, red bean paste and coconut at 70 cents each and the cheese flavour at 80 cents.If you purchase 10 pieces of the traditional pancake, you will get two free.
