Drove pass Holland Village a few times and spotted this eye catching restaurant while waiting for the traffic lights to turn; decide to give it a try. We went to 3 Monkeys at Holland Village. We ordered 3 Monkeys Burritos and Monkey's Taco, tasty big burritos packed with lots of fresh vegetables and meat that comes with 3 different dipping. Messy looking taco but a must try when you visit as the taco shell is crunchy and the filling is very flavorful. continue reading

If you are a brownies fan, then you would not want to miss the brownies ice cream from 3 Monkeys café. I will always drop by this café to have my favourite brownies after my shopping around Holland area. Colourful layout of this restaurant and friendly service is an additional reason why I have been visiting this café for dessert. The brownies' texture is firm and the dark chocolate flavour is very thick and fragrant. The nuts in it are also very crunchy and fresh too. The vanilla ice cream is smooth and not too sweet, which goes very well with the dark chocolate brownies. The presentation looks lovely as well. continue reading

I love the environment of this western restaurant as it looks really simple, comfortable and spacious. I can really feel easy and almost like at home whenever I have gatherings with my friends. I have tried their chocolate milkshake and surprisingly taste quite good. The chocolate flavour in it is really thick and creamy. The whip cream topped on it also added that extra smoothiness to this dessert drink as well. continue reading

Located at the busy Holland Village, this little restaurant is pretty easy to be spotted. Thanks to it's nicely decorated interior.. in jungle theme. Not only the walls being painted with jungle/ forrest arts, there are quite a number of gigantic soft toys around. Even the waitresses are dress in some sort of leopard printing outfit. We ordered Olio mussles ($15.90) as starter. The mussles are fresh, blend in with the rich tomato paste, the dish is quite nice. Carbonara penne ($16.90) is a bit too dry though. The creamy sauce is too little, and after half-way through the pasta, the sauce sort of dries up. This need to be improved I reckon. Aglio Olio vongole ($16.70) is well-cooked, with simple garlicky taste. The Seafood Marinara ($28.80) has the exact same paste as the Olio mussles. I find it a bit overpriced, seeing no prawn and scallop in the pasta. Only fish, squid and mussles.. Boring and overpriced. Churros ($6.80) is nice to eat at the start, but later on, you might get an oily feeling if eating too much. Not a good choice of dessert after a starchy pasta meal I would say. continue reading

i was meeting my friend for lunch and we decided to go to Holland V. Didn't really know where to go and eat until we came by this Restaurant. The name of the restaurant sounds pretty cool. so i was thinking the food will taste good as well. BUT I WAS WRONG!I ordered a creamy tarragon chix, it's chicken chop with cream sauce, served with a side of pasta and fries. When my food arrived i was thinking it was looking very good. But after tasting it was so blend. i was having difficulty to the chicken. and the pasta was dry. My friend ordered the Sambal bali fish, the fish was not hot, the sambal was really pathetic and the vegetable was really BLAH! They should really do something about that. i regretted why i went there. continue reading
