Bought back the laksa from this stall for dinner. I like the laksa here as the laksa gravy is thick and good and the thick bee hoon is smooth. The laksa gravy is not very spicy and the spiciness is just nice, even for people who don't really take spicy food. Inside the laksa there's a few pieces of tau pok, fish cakes and my favorite cockles. The portion of all these ingredients is enough for a one person share. The cockles is very fresh too, taken out from the fridge only when you order the laksa. continue reading

An ordinary neighbourhood coffeeshop, this noodle stall has been there since they first opened few years ago. I have patronised once but have no impression afterwards. They serve fish ball, mushroom bar chor mee, Singapore laksa, etc and standard thick, thin, vermicelli types of noodles. There isn’t or won’t be lunch crowd at this location. Quick and easy, once I place my order, the owner starts to cook.Tasting time: generous serving of noodle, 3 pieces of mushroom, some crumble pig liver and mincemeat, no vegetable at all, only have few pieces of spring onion, vinegar vainly in taste. First bite was quite salty to me, chilli sauce was mild and Ok to my liking. No soup was giving for take away.Whoever conscious about cholesterol, do remind you that they use lard as I have eaten very tiny crispy lard inside the noodle. However, I love lard but hate MSG! They use msg heavily though, I have to drink loads of water this afternoon. continue reading
