Signature Dishes
Heard from my friend that the chicken biryani is their signature dish so happen to pass by and decided to check it out. For the price of $4.50 is consider quite reasonable. Portion was alright and the counter's indian serving guys are quite friendly as well. However the stall is abit dirty The rice this time was quite fragrant and not soggy. THe chicken meat was quite small (disappointing) but was tender and juicy. The curry gravy is fragrant and thick. Not too bad.

This is still one of the nicest briyani i ever tasted. There is always a super long queue without failed whenever i am here. I always go for their chicken briyani. I love the tender texture of their curry chicken leg with an aromatic curry taste. Their rice has got a good consistency and very flavourful. I always asked for extra curry gravy to go with their briyani rice.

I'd heard of Allauddin's famous briyani and noticed it always had a queue, so when I found myself at Tekka around 11:30am before the lunch crowd arrived I figured this was my chance to try it.There were only 4 people ahead of me in queue and they were processing the orders really quickly - it's already cooked, so they really just need to scoop it onto the plate. I ordered the mutton briyani since Indian food is really time I ever like mutton . It was the same price for chicken or mutton - $4.50.I got a generous serving of rice, a piece of mutton, and a bowl of curry sauce with a chunk of potato. I really didn't think the taste was anything special. In fact, it was quite bland for Indian food. Also, the mutton piece I got was mostly bone - yuck. In my opinion, Allaudin's isn't any better than a random briyani shop at Tekka. It wasn't bad, but I'd rather try my luck at a different stall. As another reviewer said, negative points for their use of disposable plates, bowls and cutlery - it's so bad for the environment!!

This is a very popular briyani stall in this food centre. There is always a long queue during lunch and weekends. I ordered the chicken briyani for $4.50. It came with a generous amount of briyani rice and a piece of chicken leg. The chicken leg has got a nice curry flavour and very tender. The portion is enough to be shared among 2 person. It is very value for money.

A rather famous briyani located at one end of the hawker stalls, it is easily identified by the many workers they have and of course, the long queue. Their basmati rice is very fragrant and the spices used are not overpowering. Their dhal curry is a little tasteless but quite thick.
