I happened to attend a rally nearby so decided to have a quick dinner right here before proceed. I decided to have bak kut teh with rice from this stall for the first time. There were about 4 pieces of bak kut in the clear soup. It has got a light peppery taste with a hint of garlic. The texture of the bak kut was soft enough to be off the bone easily. It is best eaten to have it with the red cut chilli in the thick dark sauce. continue reading

Happened to be here to attend a rally and wanted a quick dinner before proceed. It caught my attention with its prominent signboard and i thought i should give it a try. I ordered the $5 portion with rice and it was served to my table in less than 5 minutes by a friendly auntie.First sip of the soup was not disappointing. I enjoyed the peppery taste, not overwhelmed but of the right balanced. The pork ribs were soft and tender and in a generous serving. The rice was nicely moist.I will be back if i happen to be in the vicinity again. continue reading
