Beancurd City (Closed)

After a full lunch, my friends and I had a nice chat over a few bowls of beancurd. I ordered a cold beancurd. The beancurd was soft and smooth and did not have that powdery aftertaste that some of them do. The syrup was not too sweet and just nice. Beancurd also known as tau huay is smooth and slimy.. I will usually let the tau huay melt in between my teeth before I swallow it. The feeling is heavenly.

Went to here to cure my craving for soya bean milk and youtiao! My friend and I ordered beancurd, iced soya milk and youtiaos for ourselves. The looks were common, like some typical food you find in a hawker centre. But the taste were okay, especially the beancurd. It melts in your mouth instantly. The soya milk is awesome too. The soya bean milk is rich in flavour and quite smooth.The youtiaos are too firm. Prefer fluffier and hollow ones!

I visited Beancurd City in Yishun with my friend on 23/08/2011. We reached around 10pm. There were few people, only some army guys in the shop. My friend and I ordered beancurd, iced soya milk and eggtarts for ourselves. The looks were common, like some typical food you find in a hawker centre. But the taste were fabulous, especially the beancurd. It melts in your mouth instantly. The eggtart is awesome too. The skin is crispy and the filling is delicious.To conclude, it is a must-try!
