Bee Cheng Hiang's bakkwa boasts the highest quality of meat hand weaved using a traditional bamboo sieve. It is smothered slowly for hours over live coals in our secret recipe. seems like sliced pork is getting more popular now and bee cheng hiang have added their own to their menu. however, theirs is more like a thick bacon compared to kim hock guan's. it's tasty and slightly too salty. rather greasy as well. but not as burnt or fatty as their other bak kwas. also very pricey, at around $49 a kg. i love slices pork bak kwa compared to minced meat ones. it's a good effort on their part here, but it is still not as fragrant or tasty as the kim hock guan's. overall it's not bad. continue reading
