Signature Dishes
My office has bought a few of these fruit cakes for our company tea session. One fruit cake is able to serve between five to six persons. THe texture was quite firm but abit rough in the center. Lots of fruit raisins can be found in between it which are quite sweet and fresh. HOwever only minimun of nuts are topped on it which could have been more tasty if added more. Still not too bad for a high tea session.

This confectionary is popular for their different types of kueh lapis cake sold here. My favourite among all will be their prune lapis cake. The different layers are filled with the natural fragrant from the butter used in it. The texture is soft and moist, which make it easy to slice and great to enjoy too. The large slices of prune topped on the cake are very sweet and goes really well with the butter sponge cake.

Bengawan solo always sells quality cake with large portion and reasonable price,Although the flavour to be chosen are quite few, (eg: mango cake, pandan cake, fruit cake, chocolate cake, coffee cake, etc etc) and all these i've tried before. All are equally good just depends on which flavour you like.pandan cakeThis pandan cake was really nice. Strong pandan flavour. THe lookking was not very attractive but you gonna try this. Layered with pandan jelly and cake and cream, this serves best when chilled.
