Still at Pasir Panjang, we decided to order Tom Yum Soup. Ingredients in the soup were very fresh. Soup is super spicy yet doesn't musk the sourness of the soup. It is so spicy I got choke when I had the first sip of the soup!We also order the Fried Chicken Wing marinated with herbs & served with Thai Chili Sauce. Not sure what herbs is being used, but it sure taste quite tasty and the chicken is tender. A little dry though

Pasir Panjang is my neighborhood hawker center, so I was excited when a Thai stall opened up. The first time I ate there I ordered a green curry and papaya salad which, while fine for a hawker center, didn't impress me to go back when there are so many other great places to eat. A few months later I walked over for dinner and found most of the stalls closed... except Bua Thai.

This time I ordered the phad ka pow (stirfried meat with basil), which is one of my favorite street food dishes in Bangkok. It was *perfect* - as authentic as anywhere in Thailand with minced meat, lots of salty fish sauce, and a potent kick from the sliced bird's eye chilis! Get it topped with a fried egg (ideally a runny yolk) for a really satisfying meal for $5.

I eat here at least once a week!
