During mooncake season, I am on the hunt for good mooncakes that are more traditional and less overpriced.I found Cake History making lots of mooncakes this year! I love the heartland bakeries! So reasonably priced and very good quality.I love the traditional piglet form my childhood. The ones here are hygienically individually packed and not in the baskets. It's very good quality pastry! And such detail in the shape of the piglet! Almost didn't want to eat it. Cost about $2.80 for one. Not chea

I love the traditional piglet form my childhood. The ones here are hygienically individually packed and not in the baskets. It's very good quality pastry! And such detail in the shape of the piglet! Almost didn't want to eat it. Cost about $2.80 for one. Not cheap but not crazy expensive like the hotels. The texture is perfect!
The other mini mooncakes come in many flavours and you lose count of what they have! I like the traditional ones like pandan and lotus, which is what I got here. Cost about $2.80++ each depending on flavour. The fillings are not silky smooth but it's got good texture and taste. There are low sugar options, and some are a bit too sweet, but generally they taste good. As they are mini, you can try many flavours before you get sick! The pastry is the right balance to the filling.
Hope they do it again next year! Recommended for mooncakes!
