The FoodI ordered the Chendol as the stall owner told me the honeydew sago was out of stock. The green coloured chendol strips are a bit thicker compared to other stalls. The red beans and coconut milk were given in generous portion and all the ingredients are very fresh too. The brown syrup drizzled on the ice has the right sweetness for my taste buds. The PriceReasonably priced at $1.50 per bowlOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this for all Chendol lovers! continue reading

The tau suan here is quite cheap but the taste was quite alright only. even though the yellow beans are very smooth and soft in texture, but the portion of the yellow beans are not really that generous which make this dessert quite diluted. Fortunately the sweetness of it is just right and the texture is quite thick as well. usually i will buy it to share with my husband after our meal here. continue reading

As usual, after meal I would like to have a serving of ice kacang. The ice kacang comes at a cool price of $1.20, and the portion is quite big for this price. What I love most about this stall is the very fine ice shavings. It feels really soft and melts instantly inside my mouth. Ingredients are also given very generously. However, I feel that it will be even better if there is more sugar syrup, as it becomes bland when I work my way to the centre of the ice mountain. My brother bought the chendol from the same stall, which has a very strong and sweet coconut milk taste, and goes very well with the ice shavings.Highly recommended! Do give it a try! continue reading

What is the best way to chase away the heat and to stay cool? You might be thinking to hide yourself in the aircon room but i beg to differ. I would think having a cold dessert is a good way to fight the crazy heat. Ice kacang is one of the better choices and it is so commonly available in all the food centres island wide and most importantly, it is so affordable.A colorful pile of shaved ice would also be a good way to chase away blues and to stay happy. This particular bowl of ice kacang was definitely good to look at and it tasted nice too. It was a little too sweet though, the artificial sweetness from the syrups seemed to be a little overwhelming. When i dug further, generous amount of red beans, a few atap seeds and jelly cubes were awaiting underneath the pile of shaved ice. Overall, it was quite an enjoyment. continue reading
