It was a good and thrifty outing at Downtown East that day after a few hours of crazy fun of Kinect and KTV at $10 per person. We became hungry and went in search of food.

Different Taste was literally full to the brim but luckily there was one table for the six of us right at the entrance. Nothing to talk about for the interior design (or lack thereof). It is just a very simple family restaurant with many many big round tables of families with elderly and young children.

To continue our thrifty outing, each of us only paid $10 for the food we ordered! Good and value for money! Wonderful!

 鱼漂蟹肉羹（中）Fish Maw Crab Meat Broth (Medium)

Thick and not stingy with the ingredients, I definitely recommend this dish! I'm a soup lover! The fish maw is soft and gooey, delicious!

As its name suggests, it's indeed crispy and it's not hard! As I later discovered that there's prawns in the filling, I only ate that one piece.

The balance is important in this dish and it really did not disappoint! Yummy! Not too sweet nor too sour, just nice, add your mouthful with a piece of the cucumber, perfect!!

This spacious fully air-conditioned place is great for family gathering. It is always packed with diners every evening. Their MUST order dish is the fried Prawn Paste Chicken. It is not oily and the goes best with a dip in the Belachan Chilli. Another MUST try dish is their Curry Fish Head. The curry is appetizing and not watery with lots of vegetables. Their Cereal Prawn is also nice but standard has drop recently and it is quite oily. There is no GST or service charge and you are able to get

My husband and I walked into the restaurant, our first time there although we have been to Downtown so many times.I felt like having some cereal cooked with something so I settled on the Chicken Cereal along with the Sambal Squid and Fish Maw and Crabmeat Soup. The soup was yummy too, the fish maw was soft and chewy.

It's s great place to dine in for families with its pocket-friendly prices. Plus, the whole family can walk around Downtown East after the meal
