Minced meat noodles with coffee set $5. The noodles were quit springy and the taste of the sauce was just right - not too sweet nor salty and complemented the noodles well. It's one of the better dry noodles around because it's so flavourful. Fried tofu $1.60The tofu tasted quite different from others as they had added a bit of vegetables in it.Fried chicken meat roll $1.60It's not oily even though it was deep fried on the spot which was a plus point as everything tastes better when it's served hot.fried beanstick $1.60 It was a bit crunchy but bland. continue reading

Eating Bak Chor Mee these days is not cheap. I had went to IMM branch to have my Bak Chor Mee craving. This small bowl of Bak Chor Mee Kia cost about $5.This stall was generous with mince meat and braised mushroom slices. The braised mushroom sauce goes well with the noodles. The mee kia noodles though little for my stomach was springy and tasty. There was a hint of vinegar added to the noodles which made your palate more hungry. continue reading

I would recommend this laksa to people who like spicy food. This laksa is like hot-hot - hot and spicy. It is worse when you have to finish your food quickly. However, although the laksa is spicy, there is the underlying taste of sweetness of the laksa. There was quite a lot of ingredients - fishcake, fish ball, shrimps, dou gan and bean sprouts. continue reading

Service here is a tad better than the branch at Clementi newly opened mall. Tried the minced pork noodles (Bak Chor Mee). Noodles are springy but honestly I find the dish just average only. BTW they managed to maintain the same average standard also at the Clementi branch. The tangy vinegar based sauce is not seducing enough. And they are too stingy with the veg. Noticed a trend among restaurants nowadays. Too little veg. What's up. Are veg so expensive? Wonder how much will they charge me extra if I request for more veg. Heard that the handmade fish dumplings is good. Shall try it next time round. continue reading

EAT. is a good choice when you run out of idea what to eat. and I’ve ordered dried fishball noodles. The quality of the noodles is standard as what you can find at any other EAT. stall. But weird, they didn’t give us the veggie that day, maybe they run out of veggie? I’ve ordered the “Wu Xiang”, fried beancurd and fried tofu also. The fried beancurd is way too oily. The oily flowing out from the beancurd when I press it with my spoon, the oily flowing out from the beancurd. At last, I wash off the oil using the soup. continue reading
