I was in the bugis area and decided to drop by Fat Bird as I remember that their ala carte dishes were 20% off during lunch hours. This restaurant is located along the stretch where ah chew is, and offers chong qing cuisine. I was there looking for something for dinner and decided to give the chicken pot a try. It was priced at $26 for medium pot, and I heard that it is cheaper during lunch hours (at $19), so do drop by during lunch. It was a rainy night and this bullfrog leg hotpot really hit the spot. However, frog legs tend to be rather bony so it was quite a hassle to eat. However, the meat was tender and the gravy was dark, rich and flavourfull. We added tofu and vegetables to our dish, and overall it came up to $48 for 2 people. This includes 2 drinks - ice lemon tea and a can of coke as well. While I think it's a tad expensive (the sign outside claims to be $24 for a pot), this was a satisfying meal.…Read More
