Each set cost $6 which comes with a plate of ingredient and noodles or rice at your choice. We opted for noodles to pair along with the ingredients we had together with the herbs flavour stock instead of tom yum.

The metalic pots were hot over the fire with slices of herbs inputs - wolf-berries and dates.

Although the items were simple and commonly used for steamboat, I will recommend this if you need something soupy and hot. For those who likes Tom Yum, that is a must try!

I'm game for something spicy over dinner and walked up to Fatty Weng Shi Tan @ Feast. While queuing, I had totally enjoy the process by looking at the ladies preparing my bowl of seafood tom yum noodles. Unlike the usual hawkers who prepared tom yum soup rashly, Fatty Weng's broth was "solid". The helper added chopped chilli with seeds for the base, leaves, fish sauce, tom yum paste, lemon grass etc which reminds me of authentic Thai Tom Yum Soup. The soup base was spicy and satisfying, perfect for my dinner. Perhaps the only complain I had was that its Ee Mee was not cooked thoroughly and felt like eating the raw noodle. Nevertheless it was only a small portion, overall, I'm still loving it!

Cost: $5

I will usually try to avoid coming here for dinner during weekends since it is always very crowded and you will need to wait for a least 20minutes. However, we got ourselves takeaway sliced fish beehoon quite early at 6pm, so we only waited for 5 minutes. The fish soup is very tasty and the soup is quite clear with just a little oil. The beehoon was still alright when we got home, it did not get too soft and limpy. The fish slices are the stars of the dish with its tender meat and taste.

Now this stall not only sells fish soup, they also ventured to sell mini steamboat too. they have three soup choices, the non-spicy would comprise of herbal soup and chicken soup while the spicy would include the tom yum soup. they also have different ingredients to choose from like chicken or seafood. Of which I decided to try their herbal soup with seafood ingredients. I must say for $5.50, the portion of the ingredients is really a lot. It almost overflowed out when I added most of the ingredients. There was a mussel, fish slices, prawn, crabstick and plenty of vegetables. The chinese cabbage did make the soup taste sweeter. The herbal taste was not too strong yet you still can taste it. I choose their special cabbage rice instead of the normal white rice. the cabbage rice is very fragrant. you can find bits of mushroom and cabbage amount the brown coloured rice. it was not too oily as well. I think for a change it did taste a lot nicer than normal white rice.

The noodles was of a satisfying portion and together with the variety of ingredients, it was really slurping goood. They also gave about five pieces of fried fish and there were quite huge pieces.
