At $3, this lor mee is surprisingly good and is one of my favourite lor mee. The gravy is flavourful with the right texture. It is not too starchy nor watery. There are shredded fish meat, fried meatballs, and fishcakes in it. Mix in chilli and garlic together and it tastes awesome! I love that the chilli is comfortably spicy and makes the lor mee even yummier. I'm not a fan of vinegar but adding a little bit of vinegar somehow enhanced the lor mee's taste. I'll be back for this again!

Hopefully this store wouldn't close down.. Lor Mee is one of the popular food among Singaporean chinese, but hawker food seems to be a dying trade. Anyway, Feng Zhen lor mee pays homage to the dishes of yore. They have changed the usual green plates to flowery plates.. the Lor Mee (SGD3.00) is quite impressive, although the ambience may not be comfortable at all. The sauce was not all too starchy and they are generous with their ingredients.. the vinegar actually covers their braised taste. I ordered the mixed ingredients (meatball, ngoh hiang and fish)! You can make special request if you want.

Besides lor mee, they also sell laksa, prawn roll, dumplings and fried prawn mee. this bowl of delicious lor mee costs only $3 and it is one of the best lor mee I have tried. However, the portion of the ingredients are not impressive. The quantity seemed to be reduced. Nevertheless, the quality of the taste is still there. The gravy was not at all starchy and the noodles hold the gravy well. The chilli was a great add-on to the lor mee too, giving it additional flavour.

I saw on Channel 8 recommended this Lor Mee stall at Taman Jurong. Since I lived nearby, so I went to try. There was a queue during lunch time, the queue cleared fast, only five minutes waiting time. The Lor Mee gravy looked nice and dark, however the gravy tasted no braised flavour, the vinegar cover the gravy taste. The meat given was mostly deep fried ones, only the pork was braised, but give too little.

They are also selling, fishball noodles and other fried food like dumplings, heh chor etc.Fish Lor Mee comes in only a size at the Cost: S$3.00. The whole bowl of lor mee has nothing but flatten and shredded fried fish meat. Vinegar, garlic, chilli and Chinese parsley were added. Lor Mee is better than the average ones we had from hawker centre. It matches the basic requirements of a simple bowl of lor mee with these condiments: braised egg, fried meat ball, pork belly and fish meat. A decent portion Cost: S$2.50 (Small) / S$3.00 (Big)Heh Chor was cut into smaller pieces with scissors by the lady and was fried upon order. They are piping hot. Dab them on sweet sauce provided.Cost: 5 for S$3.00Service & AmbienceFriendly service and with a smile even though I asked for more Chinese parsley. Self service was practised and long queues were seen outside the stall, mostly waiting for their bowls of Lor Mee. PriceReasonable portion for a simple meal.Recommendations / TipsThe fried meat balls are good! Order them separately!
