third class service with fourth class food.....

The ambience was by the river. Saw the menu and we asked them to give us 5 mins while we ordered our drinks... I had Ginger Ale while 3 of my friends had Fresh mango juice and 1 of my friends of Fresh Lime juice...

We ordered cuttlefish with shallots and ginger, lemon chicken, pineapple rice and hot plate beancurd....

I have tasted better... The cuttlefish... slightly rubbery... i kept on asking them fresh or frozen... If they didnt know the answer i would not pay for this... So fresh cuttlefish.... fresh chicken as to what i would have expected..

The total bill: $168.80.... we asked for the bill and had to wait 15 minutes for the bill...

We were in shock as to why we had to pay that amount... My friend made the deals so i told him to settle it else i would step in and create havoc... After the minus off we paid a total of $94 for the meal....

Had dinner at The Forum on Sunday night and it was a really bad experience. Service was terrible. Tom yum soup came in a small cup and looked like it had come out of a tin, tasted the same. Rice was cold and when I asked her to bring hot rice she brought the same bowl back again, still cold. Avoided the crab as suggested it was going to be 100 SGD which was a bit much. Charged for towels. Terrible.

My partner and I recently visited Singapore and, like many others, were ripped off by Forum Seafood, which has a number of restaurants along the river at Boat Quay. We ate at number 42 Forum Seafood Village Restaurant and shared an Alaskan king crab, half of which was prepared as a chilli crab and the other half as black pepper. Although the prices are listed per 100gr on the menu, the staff should inform diners of the total weight of their meal. Our bill reflected a 2kg crab and we have no proo

We ate at number 42 Forum Seafood Village Restaurant and shared an Alaskan king crab, half of which was prepared as a chilli crab and the other half as black pepper. Although the prices are listed per 100gr on the menu, the staff should inform diners of the total weight of their meal. Our bill reflected a 2kg crab and we have no proof that this is actually how much the crab weighed. We were also shocked when we saw that we were charged for the peanuts, towels and buns. Our bill came to 396 SGD, which left a really bad taste in our mouths. Diners should avoid this place. There are plenty of other, nicer restaurants along Boat Quay.
