My partner and I recently visited Singapore and, like many others, were ripped off by Forum Seafood, which has a number of restaurants along the river at Boat Quay. We ate at number 42 Forum Seafood Village Restaurant and shared an Alaskan king crab, half of which was prepared as a chilli crab and the other half as black pepper. Although the prices are listed per 100gr on the menu, the staff should inform diners of the total weight of their meal. Our bill reflected a 2kg crab and we have no proof that this is actually how much the crab weighed. We were also shocked when we saw that we were charged for the peanuts, towels and buns. Our bill came to 396 SGD, which left a really bad taste in our mouths. Diners should avoid this place. There are plenty of other, nicer restaurants along Boat Quay.
