I do not eat nasi lemak much as I'm pretty health-conscious. However, I'm always curious as to why there's a constant snaking queue in front of this stall everytime I'm here. So for the benefit of you readers out there, I'm going to "risk my life" to taste this dish for ya. LOL For a mere $2.30 (it used to be $2 previously), you can get a regular nasi lemak set consisting of fragrant coconut rice, a fried egg, one fried chicken wing and a handful of peanuts+anchovies with a dollop of sambal chili. The quintessential nasi lemak meal in most hawker centres. This is probably the perfect meal for those who do not eat vegetables and likes fried stuff....But according to nasi lemak standards, I must say this is definitely above-average. The rice is nice & fluffy with a hint of coconut fragrance, but not too heavy in the taste. The fried egg's alright, and the peanuts+anchovies crispy. The chicken wing is well-marinated, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside with minimal batter. The chili is also tasty. It's not overly spicy, so you can easily finish all of it together with the rice. Due to the ever-streaming queue of customers, your food is always freshly fried. The uncle is constantly cooking at the back of the stall while his wife takes the orders.
