With the attracting display of all the Yong tau foo ingredients, it surely attract all those who love to choose their own ingredients for their meal. Not only is there a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, the price is also very reasonable at $3 for six ingredients. All of their ingredients are fresh and they will make the effort to deep fry some of the ingredients that is suitable to deep fry to give a crispy texture. Not all of the Yong tau foo stall will deep fry the ingredients. Last

Not all of the Yong tau foo stall will deep fry the ingredients. Lastly, the sweet sauce and the chili sauce is well made and does not have a watery texture and goes very well with all the ingredients and well as the noodle. This stall is definitely a must try for those who love to eat Yong tau foo!!

I realize that business at this stall is very good. There always seem to have a queue of 4-5 people every time i'm there. People in choa chu kang are very health conscious! Ordered 6 pieces - $2.70 (O.P $3, 30cents discount for ntuc card holders) Chose ladyfingers, cabbage, crabmeat, fried tofu (they dont have the non-fried ones), fish cake and tau pok. Soup was light and delicious as usual. Less favourful, maybe because of the items i chose. The fried tofu was a little over-fried and the skin w

Chose ladyfingers, cabbage, crabmeat, fried tofu (they dont have the non-fried ones), fish cake and tau pok.

Soup was light and delicious as usual. Less favourful, maybe because of the items i chose. The fried tofu was a little over-fried and the skin was difficult to chew off. Cabbage was cooked nicely, the soft kind that i like. Ladyfingers were a bit old, and difficult to chew. The rest of the items were okay.

This yongtaufoo store is similar to many other stores in singapore. What makes it different is that ntuc cardholders gets to enjoy the food at a cheaper price! ($0.30 cheaper). I like the wide array of vegetables the store boosts! They even sell those items with fish paste in it, and most of it is handmade as i saw the storeowner stuffing the fish paste into some items (eg. bittergourd, brinjal, tofu with fish paste on it, etc.) infront of the store, means it's quite fresh! Furthermore, the restock rate is quite fast as the yongtaufoo store seems to be one of the store with queue during peak hour! I like the soup as i can taste the yellow beans very well. The vege are also very fresh without any yellow-y parts. Although i avoided the fried stuff this time round,
the store also gives a separate bowl for the fried items so it doesnt get soggy if it's dipped into the soup!

One minus point about this store is that one of the employees doesnt seem to be very hygienic. There was a fly flying around the items and when i told him, he just shrug it off and ignored it, allowing the fly to continue landing on some items. EEW. I hope he isnt always like that and luckily, there's other employees around who may are more hygienic than him.

Overall, the fuss-free and relaxed environment, with it's clean and white-washed walls makes one feel right at home there! There also seems to always be a few old folks chatting away at an adjacent table, very hawker-centre-ish but it adds to the liveliness of the place!
