This is a newly opened cafe located on the first floor of the MOE building. The stall itself looks like a kiosk but there are several tables outside where you can order a cuppa coffee, some sandwiches/pastries from the cafe and just chill out in the area. I'm a fan of chicken pies and it's really hard to find good ones in Singapore (that's worth the buck you pay for). I'm a fan of chicken pies and it's really hard to find good ones in Singapore (that's worth the buck you pay for). Finally, I've found one that has passed my test For $1.70, you get quite a large chicken pie with nice pastry (tastes like a croissant) and ample, tasty filling - chicken pieces with mashed potatoes and a bit of carrots. I like it that there is not much MSG used in the filling (I can tell by the taste and also how thirsty you are after a meal) and also that I do not end up eating more pastry than the chicken/potato filling in a pie. I would have liked more chicken pieces, but the amount given is still reasonable based on the price charged. Another winning point for the chicken pie - my husband approved of it! Do you know this is like the only one he has approved so far, after all the different types I have brought home for him to QC? After tasting a fabulous chicken pie in Manila, Philippines, his love for chicken pies in Singapore has never been the same again.
It's good news indeed (pun intended ) that the cafe has made it to my breakfast repertoire.
Will be back to try more items on the menu!
