We ordered 2 sets, one is Sundubu Dinner Set ($12.99) and the other is Daeji Bulgogi Dinner Set ($12.99) - came with miso & rice because we wished to have rice and soup. That's why these sets are a good option.

I found that the service is just nice because the waiter came to apologise with my mother for late in serving her dinner set by giving complimentary Kimchi and Salad.

Since they served Singapore Best Food, I decided to spend time in writing this dining guide so that people will visit this Japanese BBQ restaurant after reading my food review. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to ask the cashier whether is there any promotion on mother's day after making my payments.

Conclusion: Harimaya is still a relatively good dining choice where you can enjoy Japanese barbecue meat at authentic taste.

The menus comprise of many items - beef sets, pork sets, chicken sets, and cooked items such as Biblimbap sets as well as rice dishes.
Finally the meals were being served. The Korubuta Pork set lunch (SGD$15.99) - consisting of tender strips of black pork, a salad with sesame paste gravy, water-melon slices, a bowl of Miso Soup, a bowl of Japanese rice and small plate of Kimchi. We had to grill the meat ourselves, which made dining fun and enjoyable, engaging everyone literally. The Korubuta Pork is tender and the meat is sweeter and softer than normal pork, and of course when grilled to crispiness, it was utterly tasty.
The Karubi Beef set lunch (SGD$14.99) - well marinated and succulent slices of beef that, too, when grilled to perfection, filled the tastebuds with the delicate aroma of good beef. The beef is cut into fine, small slices to make it easy for eating. We experimented with different done-ness for this meat and it still tasted good.

The restaurant is quite big and judging from its gold and glittering entrance, I first thought it was a high class expensive place till I saw its menu.

We have tried its bbq sets the last round, the bbq pork belly was nice and flavorful, and the price was very reasonable.

Recently, I was back to try the korean Bibimbap set lunch. At only $4.99 (before service charge), it also includes a soup, side dish of kimchi and a serving of fruits. The bibimbap is delicious and very filling and satisfying too! The restaurant also serves complimentary ice roasted tea. Where else can you find such a good deal! Even korean food stalls in foodcourts dont sell their bibimbap so cheap, even after adding up the service charges, it is still a very good deal, not to mention this is a set meal with complimentary drinks too!

There are other lunch set meals from $8.90 onwards too, a great place for good food at reasonable prices!

My friend and I ordered the Korean Bibimbap set which came with quite a few sides, as can be seen on the picture above. There was beansprouts with carrot, tofu, as well as kimchi, salad and even fruits. The kimichi was a little meagre but I guess I couldn’t really begrudge them based on the total number of sides served. I didn’t really enjoyed my bibimbap because it consists of minced meat which I do not really like. However the meal does look appetizing with the egg yolk nestling in the middle of the dish.

Although the outside of the restaurant looks quite intimidating, they do offer set meals at affordable prices so it is an alternative dining option. Would look forward to trying out their barbeque food items next time.

The Bibimbap here at Haramiya Restaurant is very good and flavorful with lots of ingredients such as carrot, minced pork, green vegetables, mushroom and egg. It is priced at a very affordable price of $4.99 during lunch and comes as a set with kimchi, salad, miso soup and refreshing green tea. Nice restaurant setting with really delicious & affordable food.

Wanted to try their BBQ too so we ordered mix platter set, lightly season assorted meat tasted great with the dippings they provide. Simple and palatable.
Would definitely come back again.

Salmon Sundubu up close

After GST and service charge, I only paid $10.60 for my entire meal. The food is really nice and extremely filling. If you don't have a big appetite, you may consider sharing the set meal with somebody else. Sadly, I would have loved to finish up my food because it tasted so good and the dining experience was so enjoyable, but I was too full.

For my salmon set, there were lots and lots of salmon, together with lots of mushrooms, vegetables and tofu. To me, this is an awesome healthy and well-balanced meal, the best I've ever had in a long time. The salad tasted great too. The dessert was mixed fruits with syrup, very refreshing and gave my meal a sweet ending.

I don't think you will be able to find another restaurant serving up such a good and hearty meal at $10.60 nett in this upmarket Clarke Quay area. Their cheapest set meal is the Bibimbap set, costs only $4.99 before GST and service charge.

The restaurant display was very grand and the decoration is a mixture of chinese and japanese style. There even has a display sets of the available dishes that are shown in the menu for customers to have the visual look of the dish.

Pork Karubi Dinner Set S$14.99
Pork belly, rice, soup, salad, kimchi, side dish and dessert to complete the dinner set. The thickness of the pork belly is so slim that you can barely feel guilty to have the fats to eat together. Salad was refreshing though with the fresh lettuce. Kimchi is as usually taste very spicy for me. But Dawn thinks that the taste is just nice. So it's basically due to own preferences.

Harami Dinner Set S$15.99
Beef outside skirt,Rice, soup, salad, kimchi, side dish and dessert to complete a dinner set. It's more like a korean version dish rather than japanese style. The beef was done perfectly well when we grilled them. So thanks to our 'talented skill', we able to enjoy the quality of the beef to the max. We have them in medium well done and it perfectly good condition to chew and taste the sweetness of the meat.

This plate of ala carte is the Beef Tongue S$7.99.
We wanted to try on the texture of the beef tongue and so turned out to be quite chewy as well. The thickness of the beef tongue is just perfect as it is not too thick nor too big slice to chew.

I was craving for salmon sashimi so we ordered a plate of Sashimi Salmon Tartare S$7.99.
The thickness of salmon sashimi is just perfect to satisfy my cravings towards the wonderful sashimi.

Overall the foods are acceptable. But the place is too noisy that i don't really enjoyed it. The crowd is good that the business is booming for Haramiya. However, i would prefer the distance of the seats to the table can be bigger gap so that it's is more comfortable for tall people especially. I can see some of the customers' legs cannot be placed into the gap between the seat and the table. The height of the table is also low as we need to bend a bit to dine in.

Neverthless one of the staff was quite friendly. She has the passion of serving and provide suggestion on the foods for us. Some of the staffs are not that attentive as we put up our hands to call for assistance, it took them quite sometime to see it and react towards it.

p/S: This is purely based on my own experience with the restaurant.
