nice buzz and vibe in this busy eatery by Haji lane. the service was pretty good and attentive despite handling a full house. ordered the basic juicy burger, v good...juicy and a rather thick pattie. came with generous amt of fries. meat prob frozen type, but for 13 dollars it's fine. the mint cocktail I ordered wasn't good though....no taste of mint, only sprite. not worth. overall, nice place to hang out. continue reading

Located at the junction of North Bridge Road and Haji Lane, I AM cafe is inspired by the city of Amsterdam. Owned by 3 Muslim friends, all preparation and ingredients are done in accordance to the Islamic way of guidance. This open space cafe serves hearty sandwiches, burgers, pastas, pizzas and fish and chips. WTheir Charcoal-grilled Juicy Beef Burger ($13.90) which comes with charcoal-grilled beef patty topped with pineapple, onions and melted cheese, is not bad. The patties are all painstakingly grilled over a charcoal-fuelled fire, and thus take a little more cooking time. It was juicy with consistent texture. Bright and fresh Homemade Beef Meatballs Pasta ($14.90) is also a comforting lunch. To complement the food menu, I AM also have a myriad of drink concoctions which are alcohol-free. Popular ones include Virgin Lychee Mojito and Bushramint.Read more: http://www.misstamchiak.com/20-halal-cafes-in-singapore/ continue reading

Not much of a writer but I must say my friend and I were very satisfied with our food and with the service. I ordered a lamb shank and she a sloppy burger. They checked on us from time to time as to how the food is, and engaged in small talk when we were queuing as well as during the meal. Really loved their home-baked bread (they have their own bakery somewhere...) and they also do their own burger buns and hotdog buns! The sauce for the lamb shank was fastastic and I could just keep eating that with their bread and be happy already. Lamb was not too fat and it was tender :-) Real pleasure to eat. continue reading

It is a pity there isn't air conditioning at the cafe. My friends and I were seated by the roadside and it was hot there. The area to queue is across Haji Lane and it is hard to spot if you are coming over from Arab street,There isn't much to choose from the menu. The dish 'I Am Salat' is average. The serving of salmon for the dish smoked Salmon is a quite a lot. The eggs Benedict was average. We ordered ice lemon tea, orange juice and bustramint. Overall, there is nothing special about the cafe. continue reading
