Introduction
Located at the place first known as the “Qun Zhong Eating House”, Jing Hua was one of the first occupants of a row of recently refurbished shophouses along Neil Road in Singapore’s Chinatown. Over the years, the family slowly adapted their Shanghainese recipes to suit Singaporean tastes. The result is a tight menu of dumplings, noodles and desserts that is appealing to people of all nationalities who travel through the small island nation. continue reading

This restaurant was recommended by my colleague. As my parents are Tim Sum lovers, i  brought them there to try ont he food. There were only 1-2 customers in the shop though it was lunch time. The staff were fast to notice us and offered seatss near the door as my mum was on wheelchair. I have ordered zhe jiang Mianm prok fried dumpling, chinese pizza, red bean pancake & lastly gluntinous rice ball.I like the chinese pizza the most. The crust was thin, crispyand the fillings were full. Unless other stalls which sells thicker skin and small fillings, you can taste every bit of the fillings. The chinese pizza tasted even nice with ginger with vinegar! I finished almost 1/3 of the ginger placed on the table! Pork dumplings were also well fried. Again it was a wise decision. This is s must try order item! For dessert, we had ordered red bean pancake & glutinous balls. Both were lovely! The lutinous balls are of different flavours, namely, red bean, black Semase, peanut & yam. We will definitely return back, but the next time we will consider their new outlet at orchard ION. continue reading

Came here for dinner after wanting to try it a couple of times because im a big fan of dumpling. Menu is rahter limited and one look at it you can easily tell its famous for its various types of dumplings, so please do order that if you come! The decor of the restuarant is clean and no fuss, and food prices are relatively cheap. We ordered the xiaolongbao, which came at $9 per basket of 7. It was good but still not good as the ones from ,y favourite dingtaifung. Skin was abit thick though i must say the broth were very flavourful. We also ordered the gyoza, which i quite like and would recommend for anyone to try out! its pan fried on one side, and steamed on the other, just how gyozas should be! its also filled with chives and meat, and came at a very large serving of 10 on the plate. As a veg lover, I also ordered the spinach but this was very disappointing. the veg was rather tasteless, and comparative to the cost of the dumplings, give me dumplings anytime man!My boyfriend ordered the chajiangmian, and i must say its not too bad, though the portion might be small if you are just eating that as a main. For us, because we had already had so much dumplings, the portion was good for him. The sauce was thick and they were not at all stingy on the amount of minced meat, though we could do with more greens in it. A good place for value for money chinese food I would say!  continue reading

Had my dinner here with my colleagues after work. Restaurant environment is bright and clean, also quite cooling too. Service was prompt and friendly. Bought their Xiao long bao ($9 per tray) and Chinese pizza ($10) to share. Portion is very generous and filling. Xiao Long bao is quite juicy and the dumpling skin is thin and smooth. Chinese pizza is extremely crispy and hot, with lots of juicy fragrant minced pork meat inside.... yummy! continue reading

Happen to pass by this chinese restaurant after a long walk shopping at bigis. When i enter the restaurant, the service staffs are friendly and bring me to a table. Have only bought their Red bean paste pancakes which priced at $10++ to share with one of my girlfriend since we just want to have a quick snack before continue our shopping. Was impressed by its huge portion and it was really fragrant when served ti our table. Very crispy on the outer layer and the red bean paste was very smooth and not too sweet. Super delicious and quite filling after we finished it. Will surely come back again! continue reading
