Another trip to Kimly. This time, it is to complete our Kimly journey with its fascinating and tantalizing creations. Again, we went during dinner time. This is the Stir-fried Spinach with Mushrooms. There was a hint of smokiness to this dish and it could have been fried using charcoal instead of the normal fire. The vegetables were crunchy and mushrooms were tender and smooth.

This is the Crispy Yam with Salted Egg Crab ($4.80/ 100g). My family opted for prawns instead of the egg crab as a healthier alternative. This is one of Kimly's signature dish and it sure deserves the hype and the kingly position betrothed to it. Fragrant and savoury, this dish is a hot favourite among young and old. The battered prawns is covered with fluffy salted egg yolk, chili padi and curry leaves. It is then served up with crispy yam sticks which children will love as they look like french fries. The explosion of flavours and textures is simply indescribable.

We also had the steamed garoupa in HongKong style. The fish is fresh and all that was left after a few minutes were its bones. This is especially so within my family as my mother always says that fish is best consumed when it is piping hot. No complaints for this dish and the gravy can be mixed with rice afterwards.

Kimly's Crispy Yam with Salted Egg Crab definitely deserves all the good comments that netizens have been giving. It certainly lives up to its name as a signature dish and it is no wonder that the eatery was still filled with people despite the end of working hours. After tasting Kimly's seafood twice, I can say that my family is a Kimly fan and we will go to Kimly repeatedly.

Located at a commercial property, TradeHub21, is Kimly Seafood, a zi char eatery with popular seafood dishes to boot. My parents have tried this place with their friends previously and decided to bring me here for dinner. This is the Crispy Fish Skin served with Fragrant Brinjal ($13). It was recommended by Sizzling Woks 3, a TV programme. Few can resist the marinated fish skin deep fried to perfection, with lightly battered brinjal and sweet brown sauce. However, you would have to alternate bet

This is the Crispy Fish Skin served with Fragrant Brinjal ($13). It was recommended by Sizzling Woks 3, a TV programme. Few can resist the marinated fish skin deep fried to perfection, with lightly battered brinjal and sweet brown sauce. However, you would have to alternate between this dish and other dishes as the taste might get too sickening after consuming too much of this at once.

We also had the Sea Cucumber with Scallops and Mushrooms. The sea cucumber was springy and had a nice texture to it. Sauce went really well with rice and scallops were also delicious. No complaints about this dish.

Ambience was reflective of a typical zi char eatery-- lots of bright lights and noises coming from different tables. We went during the 2 weeks of CNY and other families were having Yu Sheng for dinner as well. Not sure if this kind of business is typical of their usual dinnertime crowd but it is highly likely. There is also a DBS/POSB ATM conveniently located near the eatery so don't fret if you don't have enough cash on you at that point of time! One thing about this place that stood out for me is that they do not charge service charge and their service is quite good. The servers will automatically change your plate once it's dirty and when we were placing our order, one of the service staff gladly recommended dishes for us to try. Would definitely visit again for its commendable service and interesting creations such as Yam Sticks with Crab.

prawns were fresh and big, smelt really nice when served!however, the batter that was covering the prawns was a little too thick and the taste of the flour overpowered the salted egg taste.was a little disappointed as the salted egg smell was really strong upon serving but taste was just alright.
