This foodcourt resemble old street of Malaysia and claim that they serve authentic Malaysia street food. Furthermore, it was featured in a magazine. Why not give it a try.Though the foodcourt isn’t difficult to locate but we have to go to Sentosa, probably it puts off patrons to make the trip down specially. Therefore, it is quite quiet when we reach there. Frankly the atmosphere isn’t feel so right, dim light and dark tables setting. Anyway, we were already there, we browsed all the stalls and some stalls were not opening. I like Malaysia bak kut teh, so we thought it would be good and ordered one bowl. It is self-service, once food is serve, we have disappointment as soup isn’t hot enough, fried dough isn’t fresh(old) we don’t mind it isn’t crispy. Soup is in deep colour and not much flavour, I wonder what make the deep tone in the soup, pork ribs were so so. It isn’t a bowl of standard bak kut teh in my opinion. We won’t come back definitely. continue reading

Although it was lunch time but the stall had quite little people queuing at the stall. I do not usually eat bak ku teh to be honest but since there isn't much of a queue so i went ahead and ordered a bowl to share with my family. This bowl of bak kut teh costs $6.50 and the soup is really nice. It has a herbal taste to it and that is what i like about it. There are also button mushrooms inside and some pork pieces. For the price of $6.50 i think it is a bit too overpriced as the pork were just a few pieces but i think i would still come back and try this again next time because i really like the soup very much. continue reading

The Malaysian Food Street is really crowded near eating hours so be sure to go there early if you want to acquire seats for more people. The Bak Kut Teh is different from the White Pepper type that you'd get in Singapore. It's slightly more herbal and though it's dark, it's not very salty. However, it's quite flavorful so the rice that came along with it helped "reset" the taste buds. There were quite a few garlic bulbs inside so though who are not fond of garlic should probably avoid this. Mushroom lovers would like how there were quite a # of mushrooms inside, however the Pork pieces were rather chewy (perhaps overly small) and there weren't that many pieces to begin with. continue reading
