As far as Japanese buffet dinners go, this is by far one of the best I have ever had. An authentic Japanese setting, Kushi sets a fine example of fine Japanese dining serving tantalizing spread of fresh, delicious Japanese food. The sashimi slices are thick and succulent, and the Shabu-Shabu is very sumptuous with good broth. For more detailed information and photos, do visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2013/11/dinner-at-kushi-dining-bar.htmlNote that it has moved to:#03-01, Hotel Royal, 36 N

It was my birthday and my wife gave me a surprise when she says she is going to treat me to a japanese buffet. I was so happy. When we reach there at Macpherson Windsor Hotel, i was laughing to myself as this place is no stranger to me. I have been here before 2 years ago for a birthday too. I was very surprise to see the place is still around after so many years. Because it is a very small dining bar, and the last time i was there with my sisters, we are the only one dining there during dinner.

I was very surprise to see the place is still around after so many years. Because it is a very small dining bar, and the last time i was there with my sisters, we are the only one dining there during dinner. They have 3 different prices for their buffet. Their classic is 40 plus per head, premium is 70 plus ( because they serve really high end dishes e.g. waygu beef
, tuna belly (toro). And the last is 100 plus with free flow of alcohol. This time i decided to just have the classic one.

We were the first to be there
(kiasu) and proceed to order the ones i always crave for. Maki, ribeye steak, sashimi.

Maki is quite nice as they dont stuff too much rice.

ribeye is ok. medium cooked. but i prefer the wagyu which sadly is not included in the classic.

There are more dishes but i was too excited to take the pictures so sorry people. If you want to see, please come here yourself

Still good, and i think the standard has improved. Will come back again

Located at Windsor Hotel, their decoration is simple and give us a very homely feel.

Tried their dinner buffet. Kinda pricey thou (Comparable for 5* hotel range).

Their food selection:

Sashimi - one word, Fresh!
Tuna, Salmon, Mackerel and Swordfish.

Soft Shell Crabs: Clean Japanese fried. Not too oily, serve hot and crispy.

Oysters: Very fresh too. Natural taste (That is what it should be)

Skewer dish:Most of them are well marinated. Practically tried one of each. I like their Ton Toro, asparagus bacon especially.

The highlight - Wagyu Beef !!

Definitely wouldn't go wrong here!
I like it in Shabu Shabu ! The best and the simplest form form to taste wagyu for me.

If you were to go ala-carte here, it would probably cost you a bomb for the wagyu feast.

Overall damage is about $80 after taxes.

If you are a sashimi and wagyu lover - this is a place not to be missed!
