The Lian Hua Noodle House stall shares the premises with Margaret drive chicken rice. Today I finally decided to try the laksa from the noodle house. It's popular with the patrons in holland drive food centre; there's often a queue. A usual bowl of laksa sells for $2.50, but I did an "upgrade" and ordered the chicken laksa for $3.50. Basically, it's the same as the $2.50 bowl but topped up with steamed white chicken slices. It's quite worthwhile because the amount of chicken they give you is alm
The amount of thick beehoon noodles given is quite a lot, together with the substantial amount of lean chicken breast meat, some beansprouts, tau pok and fresh cockles. The laksa gravy is thick, spicy and very fragrant. You can also taste bits of dried shrimp within the gravy. It's really quite scrumptious!
