Ever since I make my own soya beancurd at home, I stop buying from outside. I used to buy soya beancurd from Mr Bean whenever I wanted to. I like their Biscuits with pineapple filling too, it is one of their soya bean by-products, it is light in texture without the heavy butter flavour, sounds healthy though.Pass by this shop almost every workday, it tempts me to try their products again. Finally I surrender, bring home a bowl of hot soya beancurd yesterday. First bite, silky, smooth and fragrance, it has them all in just one mouthful. The consistency is so good that dancing in your spoon and sneaking through your tongue into your throat, beware if it is hot! The one I have was the original with brown sugar only, it wasn’t too sweet. I am thinking to try their black sesame paste rice ball with soya bean milk next round. It worth every cent I pay and it saves me tones of work when I make it at home. continue reading
This is one of my favourite snacks and i particularly like the ones from Mr Bean. Some time back, they came up with several new flavours like 'egg mayo' etc, but I am still inclined towards the original few flavours like cheese. The cheese is not overly-powering and you can still taste the batter which has a nice crisp at the edges. Simply fantastic. continue reading

Mr Bean has about more than 30 outlets located island wide of Singapore where they offers a variety of soya bean drinks, beancurd, ice cream and snacks. This is one of their new outlet located at block 1G of Pinnacle @ Duxton which is beside the 7-11 and in front of the bus-stop.From the usual silky soft texture soya beancurd with soy milk to a hint of Ginger or Almond flavour. Their Original Soya Beancurd which served with soy milk is always a good choice to start with for those who prefer something mild in taste.Out of all the 7 different types of pancake they have on their menu list, the one with Cheese filling is always my first choice follow by peanut or kaya. And certain outlet also comes with "tuna" filling for those who prefer savory pancake over the usual sweet type.To read more on this review, you can drop by to my website at:- http://cuisineparadise-eatout.blogspot.com/2010/09/mr-bean-soy-beancurd.html continue reading
