Nara Thai Cuisine (Closed)

Pineapple fried rice with cashew nuts: the rice was rather fragrant with fresh pineapple cubes in it. However, this did not seem to be worth the price. The phad thai on the other hand, fared much better.The phad thai kway tiao had a sticky like texture and was moist and had a sweet taste to it. The prawns did not taste like fresh ones however. I loved that the crunchy beansprouts added texture to the dish and the finely grounded nuts also complemented the phad thai's taste.

The portion has really increased since my last visit at the first outlet at Ion Orchard. The kangkong is moderately spicy and well-cooked. It is not salty too. The clear tom yum soup is tasty and the soup is filled with seafood taste and has a good balance of spiciness and sourness from the tom yum. Ingredients are also much more as compared to the last time I had and the prawns are soo fresh! Prices are on the steep side but they do serve quality food. 

Nara's 2nd outlet in SG is more spacious than its first restaurant at Ion. We skipped the queue by opting to sit at the alfresco dining area. Prices here are steeper than at other Thai restaurants in SG but the quality of the food makes up for it. The Erawan Tea Set $12.99++ is served from 2:30pm - 5:30pm and comprises a three tier rack of Thai finger food and petite portions of Thai cakes and Nara's popular sticky rice with mango dessert.
