This was a disappointment. The serving was not worth the price, with no meat at all. The spaghetti was slightly undercooked and rubbery. The overall flavour was ok but I had to add cheese and chilli to make it more palatable. Not a recommended dish and incredibly expensive at $16.40.

We had a craving for pasta on a public holiday, so we headed out to the nearby Pasta Fresca at Bukit Timah for lunch. Being a branch restaurant in the surburbs, we had expected a laid-back version of the boat quay branch. The restaurant is divided into two sections: an airconditioned area facing the kitchen; an al fresco area. Entering via the main entrance, we were directed to the al fresco area as "the air con area might get hot due to the hot air coming from the kitchen". We were seated next to a large family affair who seemed to be enjoying themselves. After about 5 minutes, we were handed the menu and we selected our dishes. In the meantime, one patron of the restaurant started smoking near the tables outside, and as a result, we were breathing in second-hand smoke. To compound that, we vainly spent 10 minutes trying to get a waiter to take our order, so we left without any food. You'd do better with the family-run italian restaurant just down the row.

Ordered the chicken risotto from Pasta Fresca for dinner. It is kind of special as i have never tried such risotto before. Most risotto are prepared with mushrooms or seafood. I would say the taste is really not bad. The serving of the chicken is generous and the rice is just well done and not too soft. together with the cream sauce, it is a perfect combination. Although it is price quite high at about $20, but it is worth for a try for people who like risotto.

This restaurant is situated in one of the shophouses along Bukit Timah Road, just after the Sixth Avenue. They used to have free parking. My family and I went there several times. The restaurant is divided into two dinning area, one smaller air-con section and the other bigger alfresco section. I always wondered why the alfresco section is bigger than the air-con one, when Singapore is so hot. Maybe because most of their customers are foreigners.Needless to say, we always sat at the air-con section. Usually, we ordered the Vongole in white wine as the appetizer. This taste wonderful, we never get tired of it. The children would order the Fusilli with bolognese sauce. Their favourite, always the same. My favourite is Marinara sauce on Conchiglie. I always told them to take out the mussles. The portion was a little too much for me. Everytime when I come to the end of the meal, I would feel so full. No more space for dessert, yet I would not miss the cappuccino. Italian coffee's the best. Strong and fragrance. This place will continue to be our dinner hangout whenever we feel like having Italian meal. Buon Appetito.
