The thick starchy gravity had prawn-based broth inside. Mao Mao canz taste the prawny. Somemore, the stall givez ONE entire eggz! Lor mee usually haz a veri pungent, choking taste that Mao Mao don’t likey but this one iz more pungent and more choking than usual but Mao Mao still likey very muchy. Mao Mao even finishz the gravity! It was goot to the end. Very value-for-money and delicious! Highly recommended.

If you are craving for a bowl of Penang style Lor Mee in Singapore then you should give this stall a try. I have tried the real thing in Penang and this one is one of the closest you can get in Singapore. I have been eating their Penang style Lor Mee for many years now. There are the $3.00 and the $4.00 portion for your selection. You can choose the type of noodle from the usual flat yellow noodle to bee hoon and to kway teow. The braised sauce (lor) is the thick and groovy type served along with garlic paste and chilli paste. I usually added in the red cut chillies and extra chilli paste. The level of spiciness for their chilli paste is rather moderate, even if you added a little more, the spiciness would not be overwhelmed.

A generous amount of awesome braised meat served along with a braised egg together with crunchy bean sprouts and mixed it well, a bowl of delicious Penang style Lor Mee awaits.

This is my personal favorite even after so many years.

The soup here is really really great, no joke. The prawn noodle soup is so thick and dark in colour, you will definitely get high cholesterol if you eat this too often. The ingredients are plentiful and the portion is just nice. Quite an interesting meal, first time I ever ate penang prawn noodle. Probably will try other kinds of noodles next time, but definitely come back for the soup.

Well, you no need to go all the way to Penang to get the authentic Penang Prawn Mee, in Ang Mo Kio, you can find this authentic Penang Prawn Mee. The soup base and the chili sambal are what it takes to make the trick. The strong and fragrance smell of prawn soup together with dried prawn (heh-bee) and pork slice is a perfect choice for meal. Penang food tends to be stronger taste and spicy. So, this should be one good recommendation for spice food lovers when you can self-serve with more sambal

Beside the stall there is also another western stall which seems to be quite famous and always packed with people. Taiwan bubble tea ' Gong Cha' is also just opposite the stall. Making it a good drink choice for your meal. =)

This is one interesting dish. The dry penang prawn noodle is amazing! Although the chilli was a little disappointing for it's spice level, the rest makes up for it.The ingredients looks lots but it's actually small pieces that makes it look like it's alot. The soup is amazing and they noodles are cooked in a well manner.

I still prefer the dry version. Dried onion, dried shrimps, slice meat and kang kong mixed well with chili and this made a bowl of wonderful dry Penang style Prawn Mee for $3.00 and $4.00 if you want it with fresh prawns.
