It has been ages since I had pepperlunch, so I decided to eat that for my lunch today. The queue is quite long and I to wait for 10minutes before I can make my order. I ordered the chicken pepper rice which comes with chicken thigh meat and some corn kernels. The chicken thigh meat is very tender and flavourful and the corn is very sweet as well. I love mixing everything up together and eating it all together. I enjoyed my lunch with my cravings for papper lunch satisfied. continue reading

Pepper Lunch Express has been offering a wide range of hot stone dishes with their usual beansprouts and sweet corns for quite some years now. I have tried their new steak lunch set and was not really impressed by it. First of all, the price is really too high as at fifteen dollar and ninety cents per set, they only offer a 'just alright' sized steak with their usual beansprouts and sweet corn. The Japanese rice is just a small bowl with their standard Miso soup. For this high price just to get the steak, it may be a bit too much. Moreover, the taste is like just normal barbeque beef on a hot stove. continue reading

like the way of this restaurant's idea of presenting and serving, we can have the chance to "cook" ourselves and decide the cookness of the meat (esp beef). I like the Curry Chicken Pepper Rice with Cheese the most coz it has nice curry flavour and after I mix everything around, the cheese was like sxticky on every rice grain and gives a bit of tangle feel. The pepper rice was definitely plain without the corn inside. I'm so loving the corn!!! continue reading

Service: NILValue: It's value if you enjoy your food charred. If not, it's a waste of money.Food: Had unagi with rice. Looked good in their photo menu. Very Bad idea. It burns within seconds on the hot plate because it was cut too thin. Burned to the extent of charred black. Carbon. Yuck. Before we even found a seat and sat down. By that standard, we're never trying anything over here again! Everything is cut too thinly so everything charrs within minutes if not seconds! Spoiled my lunch... wasted my time... continue reading

This is my favourite item from Pepper Lunch. Its relatively cheap, very filling and it tastes great. Its just chicken mixed with rice and corn. I personally like adding around 2 spoonful of the garlic soy sauce they provide. It goes well with the rice. Also, I like mixing all the stuff together and eat it like fried rice. The corn they use are pretty sweet and juicy, thankfully. There's nothing too special about the taste of the chicken but its very juicy. The mixture of the ingredients is perfect and I'd always recommend this particular set to my friends. It costs only $6.70 if I'm not wrong (That's not even student price yet). continue reading
