Today I meet up with PH for dinner. PH suggests coming to Qi Ji for its Nasi Lemak. The place is quite small and hidden from the crowd. But there is quite a flow of people dining here. She has this set which costs $5. It has peanut, egg, otah, fish cake and deep fried fish in batter. She too enjoys the meal very much.As for me, I have set 3 which costs $4. Besides the flavoured rice, peanut, there is egg, otah and deep fried chicken wing. I feel that it is quite a great deal especially we are dining in a downtown area. The rice is very tasty and flavourful. The chilli sauce is tasty and not too spicy. I like the crispiness of the chicken wing.Too bad the spring roll has sold out. Maybe I will try that next time. continue reading

The popiah here is really delicious and addictive. I am a big fan of popiah, and it seems to be a healthy food. There is something crispy among the filling, making it a nice bite and a different texture to the softness of the vegetables. The price is slightly to the expensive side for a roll of popiah, which you can easily get from the coffeeshop for just $1 or $1.20. Even so, it is worth a try. continue reading

I went Qi Ji, at city hall marina square today for my tea-break with my friends, and I ordered their delicious Popiah with prawns (my favourite seafood)Their Popiah has quite alot of fillings, like bean sprouts, lettuce and some other ingredients. But, it has a very nice taste, that when you eat it, it feels like those traditional popiah taste! Very delicious! They also have the no-prawn version popiah, in case some of you are allergic to seafood Overall, delicious and tasty! yum <3 continue reading

I just ate the nasi lemak yesterday but i feel like eating the laksa today. Their nasi lemak is not bad comparable to the one at Changi but I'm not sure why many prefer Changi Village nasi lemak. Also there's one at Jurong West, Boon Lay but I never trieed there before. Qi Ji is overall not bad, the popiah with prawns are also good. I think the sambal could be more spicy though continue reading

despite the food being so common, qi ji never fails to attract new and old customers to their store. they serve the simplest food such as popiah, laksa, mee siam and nasi lemak. yet these food taste really good.starting from the popiah, the skin is not too thick, the sauce is very sweetish but not too sweet. the filling is not too salty yet very tasty. they are very generous with the nuts that is wrapped inside. if u can eat spicy food, do order it with chili, the chili taste real good, bring our the flavour of the popiah.the laksa gravy is thick and milky. it is not too spicy to the extent u need to take continuous sips of water. the noodles is QQ and dun not stick to ur teeth when u bite it. they are rather generous with their ingredients esp the tau pok!the mee siam is sweetish and sourish. the gravy is thick not like some stalls where it is watery. the bee hoon is also not soggy. a refreshing dish for breakfast.the nasi lemak rice is very fragrant! topped with the ikan bilis and otah. the otah is really tasty! not too spicy and u can tell that they use very fresh fish to make it. the sambal is really good too!quite a nice place to enjoy local delight! continue reading
