As this month is my birthday month, I receive a $20 voucher from the restaurant as part of the member's benefit. Recently I have noticed this outlet and decide to visit it to redeem my voucher. The entrance of the outlet is quite hidden. The outlet is not crowded during peak dinner hour. As it has been a hot day, I start the meal with a Cha Soba ($2.29++) which is green tea buckwheat noodle served in dipping sauce. Quite refreshing and light. Sakae Maki ($7.99++)
The handroll is filled with raw salmon, mango, cucumber, egg roll and lobster salad, topped with prawn roe and mayonnaise. It has all kind of textures, ranging from the soft salmon, to the crispy, crunchy cucumber and to the popping prawn roe. Aburi Sushi Combo ($7.99++)
The serving consists of 4 seared sushi : salmon, scallop, tuna and skipjack tuna, all topped with salmon roe. Best for people who cannot too raw fish.
Service is great for here, with the staff preparing wasabi for me without been asked. Overall this quite a good choice for a meal in the busy and crowded Ang Mo Kio central.
