This is love. Love is to have a piece of delicious cake and eat it, the best is to share it with a loved one. And to add color to this love is to complement it with a cup of good coffee. This is one of the fews hangouts i go for cakes. I am rather fussy and i only want the best when come to cakes. And, Secret Recipe is amongst one of the best in my list. My favorite cake has been White Chocolate Macadamia for a while, and this love is still ongoing. I love particularly the crunchy base that have itsy-bitsy of roasted macadamia nuts embedded in the rich creamy vanilla filling nicely coated with white chocolate.

I am in search of other good white chocolate cake and do share, if you have a good recommendation. For now, i am absolutely happy with this particular White Chocolate Macadamia cake. Strongly recommended.

Chocolate Indulgence is one of their best selling cake. With 3 different layers of chocolate (white chocolate, normal chocolate and dark chocolate) in between the soft chocolate sponge cake, this amazing cake is definitely 2 thumbs up for all the chocolate fans. The cake is so thick and delicious, but also sinful too. Still is a must try! One whole cake is at $48++, around 2kg, worth the buy! My verdict: 8/10

First time trying Secret Recipe in SG. The last I did in JB was a bad experience, with my dad having to wait for more than 1 hours for his fish and chips to arrive. I had higher expectations of Secret Recipe outlets in SG.

My gf and I took our seats and waited for the waitresses to hand us the menus. Unfortunately, we were almost deemed transparent until we asked for the menus. I ordered the Spicy Turkey Carbonara. When the dish arrived, it looked good. First taste was ok, and subsequent mouthfuls left a powdery texture in my mouth. Looking in detail, the sauce looked like "yellow clouds in oil". In fact, the sauce does taste overly milky with me. So, was there milk powder in the sauce? Or most likely it was ready-made powder to mix with water to create the carbonara sauce?

We also ordered the "award-winning" marble cheesecake. Honestly, I think this is too great an honour bestowed on this cake or was it self-praise? It was just average to me.

Service at this outlet isn't very good either. Aside from the initial wait (there weren't many customers around), when we asked the waitress to clear the empty plate and bowl for us to enjoy our dessert, she MERELY CLEARED THE PLATES! All the prawn shells and veg bits from my gf's tom yum koong were left behind on our table. So, we asked for extra serviettes to "segregate" this stuff to one side of the table. The waitress gave us our serviettes and walked off. The "stuff" is still on the table. When it came to the bill, after the waitress walked off with my money, I waited. It came to a point where I felt like I'm never going to receive my change back. I then had to walk to the cashier, only to realise that my payment wasn't processed yet.

Total Amt. of food (Spicy Turkey Carbonara + Noodles in Tom Yum Koong + Marble Cheesecake) = $37.15

Returning to this outlet? Probably not. Returning to Secret Receipe oulets? If I do, I will most probably stick to ordering Beef Noodle Soup (not exact name) which I last tried in JB. For my pasta and cheesecake fix, I'd rather go to Cafe Cartel and IKEA respectively.

but i love the 'Chocolate Indulgence' cake here! It is uber sweet and define what a rich chocolate cake is all about. Guess you can only get to find good chocolate cakes here. I find that the Tiramisu cake here tasted more like a sponge cake rather than the typical kind that i like. Other than the cakes, we also had a cup of 3 scoops ice cream. It was good and value for money.Bet i'll be trying out the cheese cake next time i visit secret recipe!
