I was at The Central together with my colleagues after our meeting and we decided to lunch at this korean eatery. We went there quite late at around 1:15pm hence there is not much of a crowd and we could get seats for the four of us. I ordered the Saba fish set which cost $6.90. The dish will be served so once we made our order, we could go back to our seats and wait. Each set comes with a small saucer of kimchi and anchovies. I love the kimchi here. It is not too salty and it has the right sourish taste to it. The saba fish is very nice. The outer skin is slightly crispy and the inner flesh is quite tender and flaky. It is just a little troublesome eating it because of the small bones within the fish. The fish size is quite alright as well, and maybe its because of the rice but I felt quite full afterwards.

The dish was known as Hot plate beef and Saba fish set. The beef tasted very tender and chewy, tasted nice very well marinated. While the Saba fish does not this fishy smell which I like. it accompanied with a small portion of kimchi and anchovies. Over the price is very reasonable for a nice meal. Price $6.50.

Visited this small stall as i was attracted by their cheap price compared to other restuarant in The Central. I ordered a combo of saba fish and stir-fried slice pork. After payment at the counter, i was given a empty small bowl which i am entited to free-flow of seaweed soup located at a corner of their stall. A small sauce plateful of kimchi and anchovies. I requested for all kimchi instead as i don't like anchovies and the stall holder was really nice to give me double portion it. The seaweed

The seaweed soup was light-tasting with the natural sweetness of the seaweed. My saba fish and pork was served side by side on a hotplate and i was pleasantly surprised that the portion was quite substantial. The pork, stir-fried with onion slices, and the fish both tasted good enough for their economical price. Good to satisfy the stomach when one craves for simple, plain koreanish food.

This is a tiny Korean restaurant in the basement of the Central Mall at Clarke Quay. Nearly all the tables were full at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night, so I took that as a good sign. I ordered the hotplate pork and my husband ordered the hotplate chicken, each cost $5.50. They gave you a number to put on your table, then you were supposed to self-serve soup and take a little plate with kimchi and anchovies to your seat. They gave you a number to put on your table, then you were supposed to self-serve soup and take a little plate with kimchi and anchovies to your seat. The tables are so tiny and close together that you're rubbing elbows with the people next to you.

The food was disappointing - rubbery meat, undercooked onions, under-seasoned. There was a bottle of hot sauce next to the cash register, so I put some of that on my pork to make it edible.

I definitely won't be back -- it was worse than hawker center Korean food and the ambiance was really unpleasant. It made you want to eat as quickly as possible then get out.
