My mum said this Kopitiam's "zhu chao" (tze char) is very famous, so we came here to try. The waiting time was really long, about 30 mins to 45 mins to get our food and also is quite hard to find a seat here. I was quite disappointed to find that their limited food choices. We normally love to eat Egg Yolk Prawns but it is actually not in the original menu. So we requested for special order, this is the first time I ate such a horrible Egg Yolk Prawns dish, it was totally dry, without any sauces. From the picture that I took, you can see that the egg yolk comes in small pieces, they totally never try to melt it. I tried eating it, it had a bad smell, so it was not fresh and also super oily. What's more, the prawns were so small too.
As we ordered mostly fried stuff, so was a bit dry in the mouth, so we ordered the Teppanyaki Tofu. There was sauce but there was not enough sauce. When the dish was served to us,the sauce was boiling but after cooled down, it was so dry. The tofu was okay, quite smooth.
Among all, my favourite was their Butter Sotong, though I can't taste any butter but their sotong was quite soft and QQ. The crust was bit sweet and crispy, but once again, it was really oily. The food is cheap, total only costs $40 but not much choices to choose from, food-wise so so only.
