This is my first try at this stall. At $3.50, this kway chap is decent. To be honest, there's a smell that I hate to love; but I still embrace this kway chap.I ordered a mixed - there's fishcake, intestines and etc."I wonder why there's no pig skin", said my colleague. It seems like pig skin is not available today?I love pig skin, so it seems a little disappointing.I think the kway chap, on the whole, is decent - salty enough (but probably a little too salty for my liking).I wish to highlight that their chilli sauce is good; it was filled with garlic and the sauce was a little sour as well as a little spicy. Not a bad choice continue reading

The stall is helmed by one and only person - the owner of the stall. I find it very impressive that he can manage the stall by alone. His kwaychap set is really affordable and cheap, and his serving is quite huge too! The kwaychap soup is tasty and savory, and it isn't too salty either. The side dishes are decent. Special mention to the pig liver because they aren't very oily.Generous amount of ingredients. Celine Chiam continue reading

I love eating kway chap but i have rather high expectation for a good kway chap. I was at amoy food center for lunch. Was feeling really hungry but still decided to queue up for the kway chap. And the queue was moving rather slow as there is only one uncle who is cooking, preparing the ingredients, serving and of cos the cashier himself also. I have ordered a set of kway chap which include pork belly, pig offal, skin, tau kwa, braised hard boiled egg and some salted mustard. All the ingredients were rather flavourful and nicely braised. The texture of the pork was tender too. And I love the kway chap which was smooth and tasted yummy with the delicious braised soup. It was a rather satisfing meal for me BUT the portion might be too small for a big eater like me. continue reading
