The Icing Room (Closed)

Generally, they offer very nice cakes and pastries.Although I dislike pastries in general, I remain their fan for the nice food they serve; my favourite takeaway has to be their macarons!Here's a very cute doggie for a birthday cake.I couldn't figure out a way to cut this birthday cake without destroying the beautiful design. In the end, the best way was to cut it horizontally across the body, which make me feel a little sad actually, having to decapitate such a cute doggie on my birthday. Also,

Top left - Cranberry muffin - disappointment as the cranberry is really, really little. Other than that the muffin itself is quite tasty - soft and moist. I also didn't like the toppings on it - something quite crunchy and grated.Top right - raisin muffin - okok , a little bit better than the cranberry as the amount of raisin is more than the cranberry by a little .Bottom - Chocolate coffee - quite tasty with the chocolate chips on it as it is also more. The coffee taste is also very fragrance .

Chocolate lovers will definitely be in love with these brownies from Icing Room. Infact you may like it really alot as the dark chocolate used in it is quite generous and the texture in really compact. The dark chocolate is not too sweet and a bit of bitterness in it. The portion is more towards the finger food size so you can eat it irregular you are really full or when you just want to munch abit for your teabreak.

My visit to icing room was quite fun As i love to bake cake,DIY it myself but when i think of need to clear up the mess,is really abit troublesome,So i rather pay abit more to have fun DIY without worries about the mess Their sponge cake quite soft but too creamy & sweet i don't really like it If for the fun experience of DIY cake,i would go back again

I always thought that icing room was a place for small kids to have some fun and design their own cakes, which may not be even nice. However, after a trip to the icing recently, my opinion changed. It's actually quite fun and is suitable for all ages to let their imagination and creativity flow! Designing your own cake is so fun! It's actually not easy to handle the icing and make your design nice and neat! My mum and I design this cake for my sister's 23rd birthday and she absolutely love it! W

Decorated a cake specially for mother's day. I DIY on the spot as i find it pretty troublesome bringing home to do it. Plus it's meant to be a surprise! I find that the standard of their cakes are deteriorating. Vanilla cake but the sponge cake was so little. When we bite into it, all we tasted were lots and lots of creams instead. A big turn off!

During this festive season, discounted cakes and bakery items are almost everywhere. Passed by The Icing Room at Compass Point last week, with such pretty pink and white setting that captures your immediate attention from afar, it was almost impossible for us to not step in and at least take a look. Decorated this for my partner's birthday. Its very special as i can DIY my own cake at Icing room. Or you can actually bring it home to decorate it by just paying an additional of $5. There are a few colour cream and icings to choose from. It is very memorable for the person who decorated and the one who eats it. Not only that.. Their cakes are actually quite nice. They have vanilla and chocolate. Mine was vanilla. Soft spongy with cooling cream. WORTHY!!
