Look at the environment of the restaurant with this chandlier hanging in the middle of the restaurant which gives the consumer a classy feel and the ambience is good! And i can't stop praising the whole place over there just that it is a little not accessible enough.Ordered some food over there and i recommended all the indian food! It is totally different from other restaurants. There's nann, curry sauce with some stick biscuits, fresh broccoli with some special indian curry bits...!It is served at a reasonable price.Read More

i have been to song of india many times in the past and was looking forward to bringing my parents for a special event this weekend.i made a reservation more than 1 week ago and was suddenly told by the manager on friday night when i called to confirm my reservation that they had not made the reservation. they did not even have the courtesy to call me back and then said that it was now full.this is extremely bad customer service and the reservation system is completely unreliable. i would not recommend this for a special event if you need to be 100% sure of your reservation.Read More

When i entered the restaurant, there was no one. And soon one person came up and serve me to the seats, apparently there wasn't anyone there. Their service was very good and all their staffs are very polite to customers. They do have the tip-top service you can find in hotels. The settings on the table is nicely done as they folded the napkin. After awhile they served the rice dessert, which is tasty. The chef actually drew some butterfly art by the side using sauce and jams. :)Read More

It was my first trip there and the location is 10 minutes away from the MRT Station therefore it is still not bad, and quite easy to locate as they have the big board (The Song of India). The whole place is a black and white heritage home and it looks cozy when you enter. It is rather posh and the surroundings are lushy big trees and plants. It is a restaurant by itself. And i tried the masala tea which the waiter told me it contains different type of herbs and spices that helps to digest and detox. I thought it will taste bad however it is the opposite, it tasted so great that i finished the whole cup! Worth trying and it goes along with the food. Ordered and it came with the rice and different curry sauces. All the sauces are good and the quality of it is amazing and it is unlike what you ordered from other indian restaurant! Read More

I had always thought of Indian food as extremely spice, and having weak tastebuds for it, I tried to avoid it. But after dining at Song of India, my whole belief about indian food changed. As the restaurant's chef told me, indian food is merely flavourful.and to prove this point, he made me taste one of their signature dishes: the malvani jatra. First of all, just want to comment on the presentation of the dish. It was very neat and clean and nice too look at. as for the taste, it had the right amount of spiciness to tickle you palate without it being too much.I enjoyed the dish and can't wait to come back for more!Read More
