Signature Dishes
The Wang Cafe at My Village at Serangoon Garden has always been a popular haunt for those who crave for coffee served the old-fashioned way.I am no exception. We dropped by Wang Cafe for coffee and toast. We ordered Kopi C and Butter Sugar toast. It is always a delight to sip coffee from thecoffee cup that looks like something from our grandparents' time. The coffee was superb, as usual. The toast was just right, not too crunchy and the butter pieces just melt in your mouth. It is always not easy to get the butter at the right consistency - not too hard and not too soft! The combination of butter and sugar just melts in my mouth and makes me come back for more. Both the toast and coffee were great. The only problem was the lack of staff, which translated into all the tables being left uncleaned. There were plates, bowls, cups and cutlery lying around. Overall, this made the dining experience less than perfect, unfortunately.
