FoodLunch was fulfilling. Ordered a Chicken Chop Set for S$4.50 from a western food stall without a prominent stall name. Comes with baked beans, fries and coleslaw as sides.Well fried to even coated shiny brown in color, chicken chop is tender and juicy. Most important of all, there isn't any frozen taste from the chicken chop! Fries are fairy thin served warm. Sachets of chilli sauce was provided to pair with the meal.A bun was given and placed on top of the salad. I will prefer the bun to be deep fried instead.ServiceWas kind of surprised that my food was served within 5 minutes. Fork and knife was wrapped with a serviette given to us while the food was served. AmbienceIt seems that there isnt any queue since self service is not expected but there were alot of orders taking place. The crowd and popularity of western food in West Coast food centre is there as there is a fair share of western dishes on the tables as compared to other food.PriceWallet friendly pricing. It's hard to get chicken chop at S$4.50 nowadays. Most of the standard pricing is around S$5.50. Recommendation / TipsRemember to provide the ladies with your table number. continue reading

A food stall that been in the Clementi West Street district for a number of years, Western Food is a store that has a number of supporters and customers, with their wide range of western food dishes, quantity and taste. They would have their chicken cutlet, chicken chop, pork, beef steak, fish & chips, chicken wings etc etc and also fried rice combination with chicken cutlet or chicken chop. Over the years eating at their stall, I would usually have chicken cutlet, chicken chop or fried rice combination with chicken cutlet or chicken chop.Their portion is quite good, nice amount of french fries, coleslaw, bun and baked beans. For the chicken cutlet and chicken chop that I am familiar with, it won't be overcooked and for the chicken chop, not fried too deeply in the oil thus not too oily. As for the chicken cutlet, the gravy is nice and compliments it well with the fried rice (if you choose the fried rice combination instead of the chicken chop set).Nevertheless, do try their other western set meals too, their pork and beef sets are pretty good too! They don't open till that late at night and sometimes when I come back pretty late in the night, no more western food for me.Having stay in Clementi West area for 3 decades, I eat at my hawker centre very often and this is 1 of the stalls that I would eat quite often, value for money & tasty western food !Do drop by and taste their western food ! continue reading
